Company of Heroes 3: Operation Torch cannot be installed yet. Steam lists it as upcoming downloadable content, with Relic’s announced release on November 25, 2026. You can add it to your Steam wishlist now, but playing it will require the same Steam account to own both the base game Company of Heroes 3 and the Operation Torch DLC. After release, the content is installed and launched from the base game’s Steam Library entry rather than as a separate game.
What is the current Operation Torch status on Steam?
As of October 29, 2026, Operation Torch is a forthcoming DLC item, not an available download. The official Steam listing identifies the release date as November 25, 2026. Until that date, Steam may show the product page and wishlist control, but it will not provide a playable campaign installation.

Relic describes the add-on as a narrative-driven, single-player campaign about U.S. forces during the Allied invasion of North Africa, opposed by German forces. The campaign is listed with 15 missions and a persistent progression system in which choices and upgrades carry through the story.
What do I need before installing it?
There are two separate entitlements to check: the base game and the DLC. Steam’s product notice states, “This content requires the base game Company of Heroes 3 on Steam in order to play.” Both items must belong to the Steam account that will launch the game.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- A Steam account: Use the account on which you intend to play. Buying the add-on on one account and launching the base game from another will not satisfy the requirement.
- Company of Heroes 3: The base game must be owned on Steam. Operation Torch is not presented as a standalone title.
- Operation Torch entitlement: After the release date, purchase or redeem the DLC on that same account.
- A compatible Windows PC: The Steam listing specifies Windows 10 and DirectX 12, with separate minimum and recommended hardware tiers.
- Free disk space: Steam lists 40 GB of available storage for both the minimum and recommended configurations.
Before release, the only action that makes sense is to wishlist the DLC. Wishlisting does not grant ownership or early access; it simply keeps the item associated with your Steam account for release notifications and later purchase.
How do I wishlist Operation Torch before release?
- Open the official Operation Torch product page in the Steam client or a browser while signed in to the account you will use for play.
- Select Add to Wishlist.
- Verify that Steam confirms the item was added to your wishlist. If you have more than one Steam account, check the account avatar and sign-in identity before closing the page.
- Keep the Steam client updated so it can display the product’s release state when the DLC becomes available.
Wishlisting is optional. It does not download campaign files and does not replace ownership of either the base game or the DLC.
How do I install Operation Torch after it releases?
Once the DLC is released, installation is handled through the Company of Heroes 3 library entry. Follow this sequence so Steam can establish the correct ownership and download state before you look for the campaign in-game.
- Sign in to the owning Steam account. Open Steam and confirm that the account owns the base game and the Operation Torch DLC. If the account has several family or business profiles, do not assume that another profile’s purchase is available to the one currently signed in.
- Acquire the DLC. On the Operation Torch Steam page, complete the purchase or redeem a valid entitlement. Steam should associate the DLC with the account immediately after the transaction or redemption succeeds.
- Open the Library. Select Company of Heroes 3 in the Steam Library. Do not search for a separate Operation Torch game entry; the listing identifies the product as downloadable content for the base game.
- Install the base game if necessary. Choose Install when the base game is not present. Select the destination drive and allow Steam to reserve the required space. If the base game is already installed, continue to the update step.
- Allow updates to finish. Steam may download or update the base game before exposing the new campaign. Keep the Downloads view open until the queue reports completion, and avoid launching while a required update is paused.
- Check the DLC entry. Open the game’s Steam properties and select the DLC section. Confirm that Operation Torch is listed and enabled for the current account. If an install checkbox or download control is shown, enable it and let Steam complete that job.
- Launch the base game. Start Company of Heroes 3 from the Library. The campaign should be selectable from the game’s single-player campaign interface once the entitlement and files are recognized.
The add-on does not have a separate launcher in the Steam information supplied for it. Installing a second executable or looking for a standalone shortcut is therefore not part of the normal access path.
Where do I find the Operation Torch campaign in the game?
Launch Company of Heroes 3 and open its single-player campaign selection. Operation Torch should appear there after Steam has finished downloading the content and the game has recognized the DLC entitlement.
If you have just completed an installation, wait for any first-launch preparation or pending Steam download to finish before judging that the campaign is missing. A campaign tile that is absent while the Downloads queue is active may become available after the update completes and the game is restarted.

The campaign is designed as a connected narrative rather than a separate multiplayer mode. Its listed structure is 15 missions with persistent progression, choices and upgrades carried across the campaign.

Why can’t I access Operation Torch?
Most access failures come from one of four conditions: the release has not occurred, the wrong Steam account is active, the DLC is disabled in the game’s properties, or Steam has not finished downloading the required files. Work through the checks in this order.
The release date has not arrived
Before November 25, 2026, the product is still in its pre-release state. A wishlist button is expected; a playable install is not. There is no supported pre-release campaign download described by the official listing.
The base game is missing
Operation Torch cannot be used by itself. Open the Steam Library and verify that Company of Heroes 3 is owned by the signed-in account, not merely installed by another Windows user or visible through a different account’s library.
The DLC is not enabled
From the Library, open the base game’s properties and inspect the DLC section. If Operation Torch is unchecked, enable it. If it is not listed at all, the account may not have received the entitlement, or Steam may still be synchronizing the purchase.
A download or update is paused
Open Steam’s Downloads view and finish every Company of Heroes 3 task. A paused, scheduled or failed download can leave the game installed while the new campaign files remain absent.
Steam has stale session data
Exit Steam completely, reopen the client, and sign in again. Then revisit the Library entry, the DLC properties page and the Downloads queue. This refreshes the client’s account and installation state without changing the entitlement.
The game launches but the campaign is still absent
Confirm the DLC checkbox again, allow all queued downloads to complete, and restart the game after Steam reports completion. If the entitlement is visible but the campaign remains unavailable, treat it as a technical problem and use Relic’s help portal rather than buying the DLC a second time.

What are the PC requirements for Operation Torch?
The official Steam listing provides the following Windows requirements. The 40 GB figure is available storage, not a statement about the eventual download size; leave additional headroom for Steam updates and normal operating-system use.
| Tier | Operating system | Processor | Memory | Graphics | API | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Windows 10, 64-bit | Intel i5 6th generation or AMD Ryzen desktop processor, 4 cores at 3 GHz, or equivalent | 8 GB RAM | GTX 950 or Radeon R9 370-class | DirectX 12 | 40 GB available |
| Recommended | Windows 10, 64-bit | Intel i7 8th generation or AMD Ryzen desktop processor, 8 cores at 3 GHz, or equivalent | 16 GB RAM | GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5600-class | DirectX 12 | 40 GB available |

How should I interpret the two tiers?
The minimum row is the threshold Steam publishes for running the software; it is not a promise of a particular frame rate or visual preset. The recommended row gives a stronger starting point for a smoother experience, but the listing does not publish performance results for specific graphics settings.
The requirements are stated for Windows 10 64-bit. The supplied listing does not establish Linux, macOS or console support, so do not assume that a non-Windows installation will be supported just because another version of Company of Heroes 3 exists elsewhere.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesDoes Operation Torch install separately from Company of Heroes 3?
No. Steam categorizes Operation Torch as downloadable content that requires the base game, so the practical installation target is the existing Company of Heroes 3 library entry. The DLC may appear as its own item on the store, but access is through the base game’s files, properties and launcher.
This distinction matters when troubleshooting storage and shortcuts. Installing or updating only a hypothetical Operation Torch shortcut will not solve a missing campaign; check the base game’s update queue and DLC list instead.
What does the Operation Torch DLC include?
The announced content is a single-player, narrative-driven campaign focused on U.S. forces in the Allied invasion of North Africa, with German forces as the opposing army. Steam and Relic list 15 missions and a persistent progression system that carries choices and upgrades through the campaign.

The supplied official descriptions do not establish a separate multiplayer faction, a standalone executable, a console edition, or a different campaign length. Those details should not be inferred from the base game’s other modes.
Which support channel should I use?
Use the support route that matches the failure. Relic’s official announcement directs purchase, payment and entitlement issues to Steam Support. Relic’s help portal is the route for technical troubleshooting, bugs and feedback, and the Company of Heroes 3 support page identifies Relic Entertainment as the official support provider.
- Purchase or ownership problem: Contact Steam Support, especially if the transaction completed but the DLC is not attached to the account.
- DLC missing from the properties list: Check the signed-in account and Steam’s DLC management first; if ownership still does not appear, use Steam Support.
- Crash, error or campaign bug after entitlement is confirmed: Use Relic’s help portal and include the game version, operating-system details and the step at which the failure occurs.
- General feedback: Send it through Relic’s designated help channel rather than opening a duplicate purchase or entitlement ticket.
When contacting support, keep the Steam account identity, transaction receipt and screenshots of the DLC properties page available. Do not post account passwords or payment details in a public forum.
What should I check before opening a support ticket?
- Confirm that the announced release date has passed.
- Verify that the current Steam account owns both Company of Heroes 3 and Operation Torch.
- Open the base game’s properties and confirm the DLC is enabled.
- Finish all Steam downloads and updates for the game.
- Restart Steam, then launch Company of Heroes 3 again.
- Choose Steam Support for purchase or entitlement failures, or Relic’s help portal for technical faults and bugs.
This order separates account problems from installation problems, reducing the chance of reinstalling files when the actual issue is a missing entitlement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can I prepare anything before release?
Yes. Install and update the base game, check that your Windows PC meets the published requirements, free at least the listed 40 GB of storage, and add the DLC to your Steam wishlist. These steps prepare the account and machine, but they do not unlock the campaign ahead of its scheduled release.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Keeping the base game current is particularly useful because Steam can apply a required game update when the DLC becomes available. Leave enough free space beyond the published requirement for that update and for the operating system’s normal temporary files.
What is the shortest reliable installation path?
For a ready account after release, the process is: sign in to the Steam account that owns both products, finish the Company of Heroes 3 installation or update, enable Operation Torch in the game’s DLC properties, and launch the base game’s single-player campaign menu. If the campaign is not shown, repeat the account, DLC and download checks before contacting the appropriate support service.

Frequently asked questions
Will Operation Torch be available on Linux or macOS?
The published requirements specify Windows 10 64-bit and DirectX 12. No Linux or macOS version is established in the supplied Steam information, so compatibility for those platforms should be treated as unconfirmed.
Can I preload the campaign before its release date?
The official information confirms wishlisting before release but does not promise a preload window or pre-release file download. Steam may publish additional timing details later; until then, a wishlist entry is the only documented pre-release action.
Will my existing Company of Heroes 3 saves work with the new campaign?
The available description explains that Operation Torch has its own persistent progression, choices and upgrades. It does not state whether saves from another Company of Heroes 3 campaign can be imported, so assume the new campaign starts its own progression unless an in-game notice says otherwise.
Does the DLC add a separate multiplayer mode?
The official description centers on a 15-mission, single-player narrative campaign. It does not announce a separate multiplayer mode or faction, so multiplayer features should not be assumed from the DLC listing.
What if the DLC appears on the store but has no Install button?
That is normal while the product is unreleased or when the account has not completed the DLC purchase. After release, install from the Company of Heroes 3 Library entry and verify the DLC properties; a store page alone is not proof that the account owns playable content.
