A 1.45 K/D means about 1.45 kills for every death across the matches counted, so your kills outnumber your deaths. That makes it a good ratio in the straightforward sense—but it does not establish a reliable percentile or skill tier.
What does a 1.45 K/D mean?
K/D is kills divided by deaths. At 1.45, the tracked total is roughly 1.45 kills per death. It is a positive ratio because it is above 1, where kills and deaths are even.
That describes the ratio, not the full quality of a player. It does not account for every contribution to a match, and it cannot show how your results compare with all Warzone players without a representative player distribution.
Is 1.45 K/D above average in Warzone?
There is no current, representative Warzone-wide average, median, or percentile dataset in the available official sources. So it would be misleading to call 1.45 “top X%” or to state that it is above a specific share of players.

Activision’s 2021 first-year Warzone article described a stats report that included kills, deaths, K/D ratio, hours played, games played, and wins over the past year. That confirms K/D is a tracked statistic, but the historical report does not establish today’s player average. The current Call of Duty patch-note index lists Warzone Season 06 dated October 8, 2026; it provides no K/D distribution.
Check that you are comparing K/D, not E/D
Some Warzone stat trackers show both K/D and E/D. E/D includes assists, so it can be higher than K/D. Check the exact label before comparing your number with a friend’s or a tracker’s. How to make a fair comparison
A ratio is only comparable when the underlying stats cover similar conditions. Before drawing conclusions, check:
- Mode: Compare the same mode rather than combining unlike match types.
- Time period: A seasonal or recent K/D can differ from a lifetime figure.
- Statistic: Confirm both numbers are K/D, not E/D.
- Sample size: A ratio from a small number of matches can shift more sharply than one accumulated over many games.
Third-party tracker or leaderboard snapshots can show individual players’ ratios, but they do not represent the full player base unless the sample and method establish that. For example, a tracker snapshot showing roster ratios such as 1.03 and 1.14 is not enough to calculate an average or percentile for Warzone players: WZStats.
