Yes. Atlantic City is available in Fallout 76 through two free updates: Boardwalk Paradise, which brought the city to Expeditions in December 2023, and America’s Playground, which added quests and free exploration in March 2024. They are updates to Fallout 76, not a separately paid Atlantic City expansion.
How Atlantic City content works
Bethesda released Atlantic City in two stages. The first let players visit through Expeditions; the second added questlines and the option to explore the city freely. Both updates were free for Fallout 76 players.

How to get to Atlantic City
Atlantic City is part of Fallout 76. The first update introduced the destination through Expeditions; the later update added free exploration. Bethesda’s announcements establish those access modes, but do not provide a current menu-by-menu route, so the exact in-game navigation may depend on the game’s current interface.

Take on the Expeditions
Boardwalk Paradise added “Tax Evasion” and “The Most Sensational Game.” The release introduced the city’s factions and new enemies, including the Family, the Showmen, the Municipal Government, the Overgrown and Lesser Devils.

Explore and follow the quests
America’s Playground added a quest from Mayor Tim about the Overgrown threat in the flooded city center, as well as a separate Russo-family story in Appalachia. It also opened Atlantic City to free exploration and added side quests available from Jeremiah Hopkin’s bulletin board at the Whitespring Resort.

The 2023 launch patch notes identify Boardwalk Paradise as version 1.7.8.8 and list these download sizes at launch: 36.8 GB on Steam for PC, 28.3 GB on the Microsoft Store for PC, 27.3 GB on PlayStation and 28.3 GB on Xbox. Those are historical release figures, not current download requirements; current patch size and version are not established here.
