Check EA’s live server-status page for EA SPORTS FC 25, then check your platform’s status separately. A failed login alone doesn’t confirm a wider outage. EA’s page is the place to verify current status; this article does not establish whether the game is up or down right now.
How to check EA FC 25 server status
-
Open EA’s server-status page and find EA SPORTS FC 25. Check the status for the platform you use as well: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, or Steam.
-
Check EA’s official FC 25 news and updates and maintenance page for relevant notices. A maintenance page—or an old notice—does not by itself mean maintenance is happening now. EA also recommends checking its official FC channels for outage information.
-
If EA or your platform reports an outage or maintenance, wait for service to return before changing your network settings. A local restart cannot restore a service that is unavailable on EA’s or the platform’s side.

EA’s status page identifies where to check, but the status can change. Confirm it directly rather than relying on a past notice or an isolated player report.
If status looks normal, troubleshoot your connection
EA says a connection error in Ultimate Team may be caused by a server issue; if the services appear available, work through basic checks on your device and local network. The message “Connecting to Ultimate Team is not possible at the moment” is not, on its own, proof of an EA-wide outage.

- Cat 8 Speed, Cat 5/5e Value Enjoy Cat 8 Ethernet cable performance at a Cat 5/5e-level value. With up to 40Gbps speed and 2000MHz bandwidth, this high speed internet cable delivers more bandwidth than standard Cat 5 and Cat 5e cables, helping support smooth gaming, streaming, video calls, large file transfers and everyday wired network use.
- 40Gbps Speed, Wide Compatibility This Cat 8 Ethernet cable supports up to 40Gbps data transfer and 2000MHz bandwidth for fast, reliable internet performance. Standard RJ45 connectors are backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat5e devices, including routers, modems, switches, gaming PCs, PS5, PS4, Xbox, smart TVs, laptops and printers.
- Stable U/FTP Shielding Each of the 4 twisted pairs is individually wrapped with aluminum foil to help reduce crosstalk, noise, and signal interference. Combined with RJ45 connectors on both ends, the U/FTP design helps maintain cleaner signal transmission for a stable and reliable wired network connection.
- Nylon Braided Durability The nylon braided jacket adds everyday durability while keeping the cable flexible and easy to route. Reinforced construction helps the cord handle bending, pulling and frequent plugging, making it a reliable choice for desks, gaming rooms, home offices and long-term network setups.
- 50ft Reach for More Setups The 50 ft length makes it easier to connect devices across rooms, along walls, under desks or around corners. Great for router-to-PC connections, modem-to-TV setups, gaming consoles, workstations, printers and other home network equipment that needs a longer Ethernet cable.

Test Wi-Fi and restart your router
If you play over Wi-Fi, try a wired connection if one is practical. EA notes that “Hardwired connections can be much more reliable than wireless ones.” This is a way to test whether Wi-Fi is contributing to the problem, not a fix for an EA or platform outage. EA also recommends restarting your router.
Avoid advanced router changes unless you know how to make them safely. EA advises consulting your hardware manual or asking your internet service provider for help if you’re unsure.

Use EA’s connection-quality resources if the issue persists
If the game still cannot connect after the basic checks, follow EA’s FC connection troubleshooting and its Connection Quality resources. The EA SPORTS FC 25 support hub is another official starting point. Don’t conclude that servers are down based only on your own failed connection.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does a connection error mean EA FC 25 servers are shutting down?
No. A connection error does not establish that the game’s servers are down, and EA’s status page lists EA SPORTS FC 25. EA does note that online servers for older games may be shut down, but the cited EA pages do not announce that FC 25 service has been discontinued or guarantee how long it will remain available. Check the live status page and official notices for current information.
