Last War: Survival Game is free to download and play, but it includes optional purchases made with real money. Google Play describes it as free-to-play and specifically says that purchasable items can include random items. The US Apple App Store labels it “Free · In-App Purchases.”
That means you can start without paying, not that every item or progression option is free. The official listings confirm that spending is available; they do not prove that paying is required, that free players can match paying players, or that purchases guarantee a particular competitive result.

What “free to play” means for Last War
In this case, free-to-play describes the entry cost. You can download the app, create or use a game account, and play without buying the app itself. The monetization comes afterward through optional digital offers.
Google Play’s disclosure is unusually clear about the purchase environment: “[Last War:Survival Game] is free-to-play, however, some game items can also be purchased for real money (including random items).” The same listing flags in-game purchases and random items in its content information. Apple’s US listing uses the shorter label “Free · In-App Purchases.” Together, those disclosures establish a free entry point plus paid offers inside or around the game.

They do not establish a subscription requirement, a mandatory purchase to unlock the main game, a spending minimum, or a maximum amount a player can spend. They also do not explain the exact rules, probabilities, or contents of every random offer.
What the official storefronts show
The offers visible when the listings were checked on October 13, 2026 were examples rather than a complete catalog. The figures below apply to the US Apple storefront unless stated otherwise.

These are storefront snapshots, not a worldwide price list or a guarantee that the same offers will remain available. Prices and packages can vary by country, currency, platform, account, tax treatment, promotion, and date. The Apple examples are not proof of the complete Apple catalog, and the Gold Brick selections are not proof that every player sees identical packs.
What can you buy?
Mobile in-app purchases
The Apple listing names several “Hot Package” offers and a Monthly Pass. The names indicate how the storefront groups the offers, but the listing information supplied here does not establish every package’s contents, duration, refresh rules, or whether a pass renews automatically. Read the item description and checkout screen on your own device before confirming a purchase.
Google Play confirms that some offers can be random. “Random” is important: it means the outcome may not be a fixed, named item selected in advance. The listing does not provide probabilities, a reward table, or a guarantee of a particular result, so do not infer odds from the package name or price.

Gold Bricks and web-store packs
The official web store offers virtual Gold Bricks and packs intended for use inside Last War. The displayed Gold Brick choices were 500 for $4.99, 1,000 for $9.99, 2,000 for $19.99, 5,000 for $49.99, and 10,000 for $99.99 when checked.
The store policy says Gold Bricks are virtual items usable only within the game. They cannot be transferred to a different character UID. That restriction matters if you have more than one character, move between accounts, or are considering a purchase for someone else: verify the destination character before completing the transaction.

The available disclosures do not provide a complete, like-for-like valuation of every pack, bonus, exchange rate, or in-game use. Compare the exact item, quantity, conditions, and destination account rather than assuming that the biggest number is the best deal.
Mobile store or official web store?
Both channels sell digital value, but they present it differently. Use the channel that shows the item you actually want and that is authorized for your account and region.

Can you play without spending?
Yes, the free-to-play listings mean you can begin and play without buying an item. Nothing in the reviewed official disclosures says that a purchase is required to launch the game or continue using it.

The more difficult question is whether a non-paying player can progress at the same speed, obtain the same rewards, or achieve the same competitive results as a paying player. The storefront pages and Gold Brick policy do not answer that. They establish the existence of paid offers, but not their effect on progression, matchmaking, event performance, resource generation, or competitive rankings.

For that reason, it would be inaccurate to promise competitive parity for free players, label the game definitively pay-to-win, or claim that spending is necessary. Those conclusions require current, version-specific game documentation or credible comparative gameplay evidence beyond the purchase disclosures.
How to check the real price before buying
Because the displayed offers are volatile, use the checkout information on your own device rather than relying on an old screenshot or a price quoted for another country.
- Identify the platform and region. Confirm whether you are buying through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the official web store, and check the account’s country and currency.
- Open the item’s full description. Read the quantity, package contents, validity period, delivery method, and whether the offer is fixed or random.
- Check the final total. Look for taxes, currency conversion, promotional conditions, and any recurring language attached to a pass or subscription-style product.
- Confirm the destination character. For Gold Bricks, make sure the selected character UID is the one you intend to use; the store policy does not allow transfer to another UID.
- Save the receipt. Keep the platform or store confirmation so you can identify the transaction if the item is delayed or delivered to the wrong account.
If the item, price, or destination is unclear at any step, do not confirm the purchase. The official listing does not provide enough information to reconstruct a missing offer or infer what a random item will contain.
How much might a player spend?
There is no single “cost to play” because the download and basic access are free, while spending is discretionary. One player might spend nothing; another might buy occasional packages or a pass. The official pages reviewed here do not publish a required monthly budget, a total lifetime cost, or a spending limit.

Treat every displayed amount as a separate real-money transaction, even when the game presents purchases as Gold Bricks, packs, or another virtual currency. Virtual items cannot be resold for cash, and the Gold Brick policy limits their use to the game and to the character UID receiving them.
- Set a personal limit before opening the store, rather than deciding at the checkout screen.
- Do not treat a random offer as a guaranteed upgrade or guaranteed return.
- Record recurring products separately from one-time packages so a pass or renewal does not surprise you later.
- Use the platform’s purchase-confirmation and parental-control features when a device is shared.
These are general spending safeguards, not claims about a particular in-game advantage. The available disclosures do not quantify how any purchase changes progression or competition.

- Google Play explicitly includes random items in its purchase disclosure.
- The US Apple listing displayed named package and pass examples.
- The official web store sells Gold Bricks and packs.
- Gold Bricks are virtual, usable in the game, and tied to a character UID that cannot be changed by transfer to another UID.
Not established by those listings
- Whether every feature, mode, or event is accessible without spending.
- Whether a free player can reach the same progression speed or competitive outcome as a paying player.
- The odds or reward tables for random items.
- A universal price list, spending cap, lifetime cost, or permanent availability of any offer.
- That the web store is cheaper than an in-app purchase, or that a particular pack is the best value.
Keeping those boundaries clear prevents a common mistake: treating “free-to-play” as “no monetization,” or treating the existence of paid items as proof that payment is mandatory.
Practical decision guide
If you only want to try the game
Download it through your normal mobile storefront and begin without purchasing. You can evaluate the opening experience and decide whether the time commitment suits you before considering any offer.
If you are considering a first purchase
Choose a fixed-content item only after reading its current description and final total. Compare the stated contents with what you actually need; do not assume a larger package or a random item is more efficient.

If you use multiple characters
Pause at the account-selection step. Gold Bricks cannot be transferred between character UIDs, so a purchase made for the wrong character may not be usable where you expected.
If competitive results are your priority
Do not buy on the assumption that spending guarantees a ranking, faster progression, or parity with another player. The official purchase disclosures do not measure those outcomes. Look for current, version-specific evidence before treating a purchase as a competitive investment.
