Which wheel suits your platform?
Platform compatibility is the clearest difference. Logitech lists the G920 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11, and identifies it as the Xbox model. The available G27 specifications do not establish a current platform-compatibility matrix. If you are considering one, verify support for your particular system and game rather than assuming it will work because it is a Logitech wheel.
What controls and features do you get?
G27: a listed six-speed shifter and shift indicators
Logitech lists a six-speed shifter with reverse and RPM/shift LEDs as G27 features. Its specifications also list an 11-inch leather-wrapped wheel and steel throttle, brake, and clutch pedals. These are useful features if you want a manual H-pattern setup, but check that the shifter and pedals are actually included with the used unit you are considering. G27 technical specifications

G920: three pedals and paddle shifters
The G920 specifications list throttle, brake, and clutch pedals, plus paddle shifters. They do not list a separate six-speed shifter as part of the wheel’s controls, so do not assume one comes with a particular listing. Confirm the bundle contents with the seller. G920 technical specifications
Is the G920’s force feedback better?
Logitech describes both wheels as using dual-motor force feedback with helical gearing. Both are 900-degree-class wheels: the G27 is specified at 40–900 degrees, while the G920 is listed with a maximum of 900 degrees. Those specifications do not prove that their force-feedback strength or feel is identical, but they also do not support calling the G920 automatically stronger or more realistic. No controlled comparison or instrumented performance result is established here.

How to choose between them
- Choose the G920 if Xbox compatibility is essential and the particular game supports it. It is also a straightforward option for a Windows 10/11 setup according to Logitech’s listed requirements.
- Consider the G27 if you want its listed six-speed shifter with reverse and RPM/shift LEDs, and have confirmed compatibility with your system and game.
- Compare exact bundles if buying used. Check whether the wheel, pedals, power supply, shifter, and mounting hardware are included; the model specifications do not describe the condition or completeness of an individual second-hand unit.
- Compare local prices in similar condition. No current, condition-matched prices are established here, so there is no reliable blanket value winner.
What to check before buying used
Ask to test the specific unit rather than relying on its model name or listing photos. Confirm that it powers on and connects over USB, that the wheel responds through its rotation, that force feedback operates in a supported game, and that the pedals and any included shifter register correctly. Inspect the cables, power supply, mounting points, and wear, and confirm what accessories are included in the sale.
These are practical checks for a used purchase, not results of a test comparison between the G920 and G27. Logitech’s product pages document model specifications; they do not certify the condition of a used example.
