Ubisoft Support said cross-play was not supported in replies posted in 2019 and 2021; in June 2022, a developer response said there was no information suggesting the feature was coming. That is the latest explicit status located—not a newly confirmed denial in 2026.
Can Xbox and PC players join the same UNO game?
There is no documented way for someone playing UNO on Xbox to join a player on PC. Ubisoft lists the game on both platforms, but separate availability does not mean they share matchmaking or online lobbies. Ubisoft’s platform pages list PC and Xbox separately, and its current Xbox listing does not advertise PC cross-play.
Ubisoft Support representative Ubi-Matcha wrote on February 25, 2019, “Cross-platform play is not supported at this time I’m afraid.” Another Ubisoft Support reply, posted November 14, 2021, said cross-play was not currently supported. In June 2022, a developer response said Ubisoft had no available information suggesting the feature was coming. These dated statements establish the latest explicit support status available here, but do not prove Ubisoft has made no change since 2022. Read the Ubisoft Support replies in the Steam discussion.
What does Xbox cross-generation multiplayer mean?
Microsoft’s Xbox Store listing identifies multiplayer across Xbox generations. That refers to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players; it does not indicate that Xbox players can join PC players. The listing describes online multiplayer for 2–4 players and labels the capability “Xbox Live cross-generation multiplayer,” without listing PC cross-play. See the Xbox Store listing.

| Players’ platforms | What is documented |
|---|---|
| Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S | Xbox cross-generation multiplayer is listed by Microsoft. |
| Xbox and PC | No supported cross-play capability is documented. |
Do accounts, subscriptions, or accessories enable cross-play?
No. Microsoft says Xbox online play requires an internet connection, Ubisoft and Microsoft accounts, and a qualifying Xbox subscription. Those are access requirements for online play, not a bridge to PC matchmaking. The Xbox listing says online multiplayer requires one of its qualifying Game Pass subscription tiers; check the listing for the current requirements in your region.
A controller, headset, or physical UNO deck cannot connect the Xbox and PC versions. Ubisoft’s support page lists PC peripherals separately from Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S peripherals, and says other controllers may work but are not officially supported. Check Ubisoft’s UNO support page. A physical deck can be an in-person alternative, but it does not make the digital versions cross-play compatible.
Rank #2
- UNO Show 'em No Mercy game adds 56 more cards, special rules and super-tough action cards for the most brutal edition of UNO ever!
- Tougher action cards, such as Skip Everyone, Wild Draw 6 and even Wild Draw 10 make game play merciless!
- The Stacking Rule lets players pass the penalty (Draw +2, +4, +6, +10) to the next player until whoever can't play has to take all the cards combined!
- Whenever a '7' or a '0' card is played, players must swap hands with another player!
- The Mercy Rule means that if any player gets 25+ cards in their hand, they are out of the game!
What can you do if your friend is on PC?
- Use the same platform version: To play digitally together, choose a platform pairing with documented multiplayer support. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S cross-generation play is listed; Xbox-to-PC play is not.
- Check for an official change: Ubisoft’s platform and support pages and the Xbox listing are the relevant places to look for a new cross-play announcement. The available Xbox listing and Ubisoft platform information do not announce Xbox-to-PC play.
- Play in person instead: A physical UNO deck allows a shared game at the same table, but it is separate from the console and PC versions.
Which platforms list UNO?
Ubisoft’s current official pages list UNO for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Platform availability alone does not establish that players on any two of those systems can play together. See Ubisoft’s UNO edition and platform information.
