Mighty Coconut partnered with Aardman to add a paid Wallace & Gromit course to Walkabout Mini Golf. It takes players to 62 West Wallaby Street, the duo’s home, for 18 easy-mode holes and 18 hard-mode holes filled with themed gags and contraptions. The PS5 version requires PlayStation VR2; platform availability and price depend on the store and region.
What’s included in the Wallace & Gromit course?
The course is set at 62 West Wallaby Street and draws on the characters’ home, inventions and comic misadventures. Mighty Coconut’s announcement lists 18 easy-mode holes and 18 hard-mode holes, plus collectible lost balls, themed avatars and a commemorative in-game putter. It also promises “contraptions and other delightful mechanisms and obstacles.” Mighty Coconut’s official course page describes the collaboration and its fan references.

In its July 25, 2024 launch-day tour, UploadVR reported that the team used animation to help players feel inside the characters’ world. Mighty Coconut 3D modeler Edward Felix told the outlet that Wallace’s course was imagined as something he built himself from whatever was on hand. UploadVR also reported that some holes and inventions drew on collaboration with Nick Park, and that Ben Whitehead voices Wallace in the course.
What platforms is the course on?
Mighty Coconut’s June 14, 2024 update said the course was coming to Quest, PSVR2, Steam and PICO in July. That is a dated announcement, not a guarantee of current availability on every storefront. Check the store for the platform you use before buying. The developer’s update also places the release within the game’s broader licensed-course and avatar-pack approach.

The PlayStation Store lists the PS5 DLC release date as July 25, 2024 and says PlayStation VR2 is required for that version. The listing also specifies PS VR2 Sense controllers. Those requirements apply to the PS5 version; they do not mean every version requires a PlayStation headset. Check the PlayStation Store listing for current regional availability and price.
How much does the Wallace & Gromit DLC cost?
The PlayStation Store listing showed $3.99 USD when accessed for this article. That is a store price observed at a particular time, not a promise of the current price elsewhere: storefront prices, currency and availability can vary by region and change. Check your platform’s store page before purchasing.
Do you need a VR headset to play it?
For the PS5 version, yes: PlayStation’s listing requires PS VR2 and its Sense controllers. Mighty Coconut’s June 2024 announcement also named Quest, Steam and PICO as platform paths, but the hardware and software requirements differ by platform. Confirm compatibility on the relevant current store page rather than treating the PS5 requirement as universal.

Can friends play the course with you?
Walkabout Mini Golf supports solo play, 1v1 quick match and private rooms for up to eight players, according to the official game page. The same page describes crossplay and Guest Pass access to paid DLC. On PS5, the PlayStation Store says online play is optional and requires PS Plus; it lists online play for up to eight players with PS Plus.

Guest Pass can let a friend join a host on a paid DLC course in multiplayer. The developer’s support glossary says guests cannot collect that course’s lost balls or participate in foxhunts. The glossary defines crossplay across Quest, PSVR2, Steam/PCVR, PICO and Pocket Edition, but platform support can change. It also says there is no crossbuy or cross-platform synced progress, so owning the course on one platform does not establish ownership on another.
Which version should you choose?
- Already own PS VR2 and play on PS5: the PlayStation version is a straightforward fit, but check its current regional listing for price and online-play requirements.
- Play on Quest, Steam/PCVR or PICO: check that platform’s current store listing for availability, compatibility and price. The developer’s June 2024 platform list is historical rather than a live status page.
- Planning a multiplayer session with someone who has not bought the course: check the game’s current Guest Pass rules. Guests can join the DLC course, but do not receive its lost-ball collection or foxhunt participation.
The available platform information does not establish comparative image quality, comfort or performance between versions, so those should not be assumed from the platform list.
