A third-party PC script called Eject for Grand Theft Auto 5 adds a Bond-like escape button to cars: press its eject control and your character is thrown from the vehicle, with a parachute descent available as the intended follow-up. The effect works, but it is a novelty rather than a reliable stunt system. Momentum is not consistently preserved, and pushing the launch-force setting too far can stop the game from launching.
What the GTA 5 ejector-seat script does
The feature comes from Eject for Grand Theft Auto 5, a community-made script for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. Its description, reproduced by PC Gamer, calls it “A simple little fun script that allows you to eject from vehicles and parachute down.” The script changes the behavior of vehicles; it is not a feature of the unmodified game or of GTA Online.

Once installed and configured according to the script’s own package instructions, the player uses its assigned eject key while in a car. The character is launched clear of the vehicle, after which the parachute option can turn the escape into a descent. The exact key and any required loader depend on the script package and the player’s existing GTA 5 PC mod setup, so use the files’ included instructions rather than assuming a universal keyboard binding.
How to add ejector seats to GTA 5 cars
- Use the PC edition. This setup is for Grand Theft Auto V on PC; no console version or console-install method is provided.
- Obtain the Eject for Grand Theft Auto 5 script from a reputable Grand Theft Auto V mod source and read its included installation notes before copying anything. PC Gamer identifies the script but does not establish a single official download host or a universal file layout.
- Back up your installation and saves. A script that changes vehicle behavior can conflict with other modifications, and the launch failure at an extreme force value described by Wolens makes a rollback useful.
- Install it exactly as its package specifies, including any script framework or loader it lists. Do not guess at filenames, folders or key bindings when those details are not supplied by the author.
- Launch a suitable single-player session and test the default setting first. Confirm that the eject control works before changing force values or combining the script with other vehicle modifications.
Force settings and what the tests showed
The script exposes a configurable Force value. In PC Gamer’s 14 October 2026 report, writer Joshua Wolens identified 150 as the default, then tried 10,000 and 100,000. These are configuration values, not measurements of ejection speed or controlled performance scores.

Because the observations come from one author’s play session, they do not establish a safe maximum, a repeatable crash threshold or a success rate across hardware and installations.
Can you eject and parachute in GTA 5?
Yes, the script’s core sequence is vehicle ejection followed by an attempted parachute descent. In practice, the parachute part is only partly dependable: the character can be thrown from the car, but the overall stunt does not behave like a carefully authored Bond set piece. Treat it as a sandbox gag and test it in an area where a failed landing will not end a mission or destroy a valuable vehicle.

Why the mod does not keep momentum reliably
Wolens tried to use the ejection to leap across an overpass and land back in the same vehicle. The script did not reliably carry the car’s momentum into the launch, so those attempts failed. That limitation explains why a high Force value does not automatically produce a controllable long-distance stunt: launch strength and retained vehicle velocity are separate behaviors.
If your goal is to return to a moving car, expect inconsistent results. Slow the vehicle, choose a short gap and regard any successful recovery as luck rather than a repeatable maneuver. No independent benchmark has established how often momentum is preserved.

Troubleshooting failed launches and crashes
The eject key does nothing
- Verify that you are using the PC game and are inside a vehicle.
- Check the script’s own configuration for its assigned control and confirm that another modification has not claimed the same key.
- Test in a clean single-player session before diagnosing vehicle or mission-specific behavior.
GTA 5 crashes or will not start
- Revert Force to the default 150 or another conservative value.
- Remove the experimental 100,000 setting first; that value appeared to cause a launch crash in Wolens’s test.
- Restore the backup or temporarily remove the script to determine whether the failure is caused by this modification or by a broader installation conflict.
The parachute or landing is inconsistent
- Remember that the script’s advertised parachute descent does not guarantee momentum preservation.
- Try a lower-speed, open-area test and avoid judging the script by attempted landings back into a moving car.
What to expect from this mod
Eject for Grand Theft Auto 5 delivers the headline feature—a manual escape from a car—and can produce a parachute descent on PC. Its limits matter just as much: the launch does not consistently inherit vehicle momentum, and an extreme Force value of 100,000 appeared to crash the game at startup. Start at 150, change one setting at a time, and keep the script confined to an installation you can restore.
