In September 2023, King announced that Candy Crush Saga would soon reach level 15,000. The company also reported more than $20 billion in lifetime-to-date revenue for the wider Candy Crush franchise—not for the game in a single year. Activision Blizzard later confirmed that the game added its 15,000th level during 2023.
What did the 15,000th-level milestone mean?
King’s September 27, 2023 announcement described level 15,000 as an upcoming release. Activision Blizzard’s 2023 year-end recap later said Candy Crush Saga added its 15,000th level during that year. The announcement and the later recap therefore mark two stages of the same milestone: it was forthcoming in September and completed by year-end.

The milestone was part of a long-running stream of new content, rather than a new edition or a separate game. King said its newest designers receive the honor of designing milestone levels, connecting the headline level count to the people creating the game’s ongoing content.

How much revenue has Candy Crush made?
King reported more than $20 billion in lifetime-to-date revenue for the Candy Crush franchise in its 2023 announcement. That is a cumulative franchise figure, not annual revenue and not a figure attributed solely to Candy Crush Saga. The announcement also reported more than five billion lifetime-to-date downloads for the franchise.

These are figures reported by King in 2023. They do not establish the franchise’s revenue or downloads as of 2026. Likewise, the sources documenting the 15,000th level do not establish the game’s current live level count.
What other figures did King share?
- More than five trillion levels completed: King said players had collectively completed this many Candy Crush Saga levels by the time of its 2023 milestone announcement.
- More than 200 million monthly active players: This was a King-wide figure as of the second quarter of 2023, not a count of Candy Crush Saga players alone.
- Nearly seven trips around the world: King compared the cumulative distance of players’ swipes over the preceding five years to almost seven times around the world. This was a playful company estimate, not an independently measured travel statistic.
King also said the Candy Crush franchise had been the top-grossing game franchise in U.S. app stores for six consecutive years. The 2023 announcement did not identify the measurement source or specify the six-year interval, so the claim should be understood with those qualifications.

Why the scope and dates matter
The announcement marked the tenth anniversary of Candy Crush Saga in 2022 and King’s twentieth anniversary in 2023. Read together, the figures describe different things: the 15,000th level belongs to Candy Crush Saga; revenue and downloads are reported for the broader franchise; and the monthly-active-player total covers King’s games. They are snapshots and cumulative totals reported in 2023, not current 2026 measurements.
