What the current-gen upgrade includes
PLAION released the update on February 13, 2026, as a native version for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The publisher says it is available now on both platforms. It is an optional upgrade: players can keep playing their existing PS4 or Xbox One version on older hardware. PLAION’s update page and its FAQ describe availability and eligibility.

Is the Kingdom Come: Deliverance upgrade free?
Yes. Owners of the PS4 or Xbox One game receive the corresponding current-generation upgrade at no additional cost. PLAION says both physical and digital owners qualify. You do not need to buy another copy just to upgrade an eligible game.

The FAQ also reported Game Pass availability at launch on February 13, 2026. That is a launch-time note, not confirmation that the game remains in the service today; check the catalog for your region before relying on a subscription listing.
Does Kingdom Come: Deliverance on PS5 run at 60 FPS?
PLAION describes the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions as targeting up to 60 FPS. The wording matters: it is a stated target, not a guarantee of a locked frame rate in every scene. Deep Silver says the update addresses demanding situations such as battles, cutscenes, dialogue, large cities, and areas dense with foliage through changes to rendering, multithreading, asset streaming, and culling. What does “4K” mean in this update?
The FAQ describes 4K resolution, but the detailed Patch 1.9.7 notes specify how the image is produced: the game renders at a native 2560×1440 and uses AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.2 (FSR 1.2) to upscale that image to 3840×2160. In other words, the output is 4K, while the native render resolution is 1440p; it is not native 4K rendering.
The patch notes also describe higher-resolution textures and models, additional graphical features, and PC Ultra quality as the visual baseline. Dynamic resolution can adjust rendering to help smooth performance in GPU-demanding areas. PLAION’s FAQ says there are no selectable Performance and Quality modes: the console release is presented as one optimized experience targeting 60 FPS.

Can you transfer your PS4 save to PS5?
Yes. Save transfer is supported within each console family: PS4 to PS5, and Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S. The publisher does not describe cross-platform transfers between PlayStation and Xbox. The update page also lists PS5 Activity Cards and Deep Silver Account integration; linking an account grants a horse caparison reward. Details are in the official update information.
Languages and other patch changes
Patch 1.9.7 adds Czech and Japanese voice-overs and adds or improves Turkish, Ukrainian, and Brazilian Portuguese interface and subtitle support. The same notes list stability and gameplay fixes, including fixes for rare infinite loading problems, crashes, memory leaks, a dog pathfinding performance issue, and assorted achievement, interface, and localization bugs. These additions accompany the platform and rendering changes rather than replacing them as the update’s main draw.
