Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1.9.7 is already out. PLAION dates the next-gen console update to February 13, 2026. It brings native PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions targeting up to 60 FPS, cross-generation save transfer, language additions and a broad set of fixes. The rollout is not identical everywhere: PC, Microsoft Store, GOG, Stove and console notes include different changes.
What does Kingdom Come: Deliverance patch 1.9.7 add?
The headline change is the next-gen console version, but 1.9.7 also brings platform-specific fixes and content updates. Deep Silver says the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions use a modernized rendering backend, a CryEngine build optimized for the consoles, improved multithreading and asset streaming, and reworked culling. The stated aim is to reduce stutters and pop-ins while targeting 60 FPS at visual settings comparable to PC Ultra. These are publisher specifications, not independent performance measurements.
Other notable changes include Czech and Japanese voice-over, Turkish interface and subtitles, and Ukrainian and Brazilian Portuguese interface and subtitles. The update also improves achievement and trophy localization and other terminology. PS5 activity cards are supported.
Major fixes in the next-gen console release
- Loading hangs in “Run!” and “Siege” were addressed. The rare “Siege” issue could leave a save unusable when it interacted with the “From the Ashes” DLC questline; Deep Silver explains that the game could wait indefinitely for Sir Divish to finish a behavior that was no longer valid.
- Fixes cover physics deadlocks and crashes tied to “Baptism of Fire,” vegetation, invalid models or areas, race conditions and the texture garbage collector. Memory leaks and a dog-pathfinding issue that could cause a major performance drop were also addressed.
- Gameplay fixes address the “Casanova” and “Full house sinner” achievements, plus controls becoming blocked while playing dice with Stephan.
- UI fixes address overlapping, missing, placeholder or truncated text and icons, as well as incorrect subtitles in the final cinematic.

Which platforms received 1.9.7?
The next-gen upgrade is for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Separate platform notes cover updates to PC and storefront builds, so 1.9.7 should not be read as one identical changelog across every platform.

Console-specific fixes listed in the platform patch notes include race-condition, memory-related, deadlock and audio-related crashes. PS5 notes also mention a system-object-handle crash, distorted ground foliage, updated app assets and PS4 trophy-transfer functionality. Xbox notes include device hangs during suspend and crashes after cloud-sync cancellation.

Is the next-gen update free, and does your save transfer?
Yes. PLAION says PS4 and Xbox One owners receive the corresponding next-gen update free, whether they own the game physically or digitally. The upgrade is optional: you can keep playing on PS4 or Xbox One. The FAQ also includes the game, Royal Edition and DLC collection among the affected content.
Existing save data and progress carry over from PS4 to PS5 and Xbox One to Xbox Series consoles. On PS5, trophies are not guaranteed to transfer one-for-one: the developer says save data and the relevant unlock conditions can recover most trophies, but some may not unlock if the condition is no longer true in that save.

Does the next-gen version run at 60 FPS?
PLAION says it targets up to 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with visual settings comparable to PC Ultra. There are no separate performance and quality modes; the FAQ describes one optimized mode. The figure is a publisher claim, not a guarantee of a locked frame rate in every scene or an independently verified benchmark.

Linking a Deep Silver Account grants a horse caparison. It appears in the stash after the prologue. The reward depends on account integration: Deep Silver explicitly says the GOG and Stove updates do not include that feature, so the account reward is not available on those builds.
Which languages were added or improved?
- Voice-over: Czech and Japanese.
- Interface and subtitles: Turkish, Ukrainian and Brazilian Portuguese.
- Other language work: achievement and trophy localization and terminology improvements.
The platform notes specify additional Japanese and Korean text for the Microsoft Store build. Availability can therefore depend on platform and storefront.
