Is Kirby Air Riders physical or digital?
Nintendo confirms both a digital edition and a physical edition sold through retailers. The digital edition can be preloaded, while the physical version can be purchased from participating retailers. The better fit depends on whether you prefer a download or a physical game copy.

Can you still preorder Kirby Air Riders?
No. The game has already released, so preorder offers are historical rather than current purchase bonuses. Nintendo’s October 2025 announcement described an in-game hat for people who preordered the digital version. The hat was usable during the Global Test Ride preview, but Nintendo said it could not be transferred to the full game; it should not be treated as a current bonus.
Does Kirby Air Riders require Nintendo Switch Online?
Nintendo says a Nintendo Account and Nintendo Switch Online membership are required for online features, and the membership is sold separately. Nintendo’s October 2025 announcement also highlighted Top Ride, a top-down racing mode, and Road Trip, a story-driven mode with races, battles, and challenges. Are Kirby Air Riders amiibo required?
No. Nintendo describes Kirby Air Riders series amiibo as rider-and-machine figures that can be mixed and matched and tapped into the game. They are sold separately, so they are an optional collectible rather than a requirement to buy the game.
