Riot has acknowledged rune-page problems in League of Legends before, including saved pages appearing missing or deleted after login. Riot said that issue was addressed in patch 10.10. That historical fix does not confirm the same problem is active in the current client.
If your pages are resetting now, restart the client first. Then identify whether pages disappeared, you cannot edit them, or a different page was selected in champion select; Riot has documented these as distinct behaviors.
What rune-page problems has Riot acknowledged?
Riot’s client-cleanup update recorded a bug in which rune pages appeared missing or deleted after login and said it was addressed in patch 10.10. The same update separately listed a problem that prevented some players from editing rune pages, also addressed in patch 10.10. Riot’s client-cleanup update documents those historical fixes.
These notes establish that similar client problems have occurred; they do not establish that the same bug has returned. The official sources available for this article do not confirm a current recurrence, and they provide no figure for how many players are affected.

Why did League change my runes in champion select?
A different page appearing in champion select is not necessarily a saved page being erased. Riot’s Patch 14.7 notes describe a Quickplay queue-selection issue that could keep selections from sticking; Riot said a change prevented it in most cases. The notes also explain that an invalid or incomplete equipped page could lead the system to assign another valid page.
- Pages missing after login: Riot documented and fixed this historical behavior in patch 10.10.
- Unable to edit a page: Riot separately documented an editing issue in the same cleanup update.
- A different page selected in Quickplay: Patch 14.7 describes a champion-select behavior, including replacement of an invalid or incomplete equipped page. It does not prove the account’s saved page was deleted.
How to troubleshoot rune pages that do not save
- Restart the League client. Riot lists a client restart as the first step for issues with the updated client. See Riot’s updated-client known-issues guidance.
- Pin down what happened. Note whether saved pages vanished after login, editing failed, or a different page was selected only in champion select. Record when it happens and what you did immediately beforehand.
- Send an in-client bug report if the problem is not listed. Riot directs players to the bug icon below the friends list for unlisted client issues. The same known-issues page describes that reporting route.
- Contact Riot Player Support if it continues. Submit a technical-issues request and attach League client logs. Riot’s technical support instructions explain how to collect logs on Windows and Mac.
For a useful report, include the client version or patch, operating system, whether the page was complete, the steps immediately before the behavior, and whether restarting changed it. These details help describe what you can reproduce; Riot does not identify them as mandatory fields.

Is this a known current issue in 2026?
The available official documentation does not establish that the historical reset or save problem is currently active. Riot’s patch schedule lists October 7, 2026, for patch 26.20 and notes that dates can change, but the schedule does not announce a rune-page fix. Check Riot’s patch schedule for version context, not as confirmation of this specific issue.
