Then verify you watched through the event’s required platform while signed in to the Riot account that should receive the reward. Riot’s 2024 LoL Esports guide said in-game items usually arrive within 24 hours; if the event’s instructions do not resolve the issue, contact Riot Support.
First, confirm the event offered a reward
Watching a match does not by itself mean a drop was owed. Drops are tied to particular events, eligible broadcasts, and sometimes specific moments or claim steps. Check the tournament’s official announcement for the reward name, eligible dates or broadcasts, platform, regional or account limits, and any instructions to claim it. Riot’s MSI 2024 Drops announcement, for example, described rules for that tournament rather than a permanent rule for every LoL Esports stream.
The available official guidance does not establish one comprehensive policy for every league, platform, and region in 2026. Use the current event announcement over older guidance if their instructions differ.
Check the viewing and account setup
Use the platform and broadcast specified for that event
Riot’s LoL Esports Season 2024 Drops guide instructed viewers to watch on LoLEsports.com and said that drops happened during live broadcasts, not VODs. Those were the rules described for that guide; another event may specify different viewing requirements. If you watched a replay or on another platform, check the current event announcement before assuming that viewing counted.

- Perfect for your home, office, or a gift
Sign in to the Riot account that should receive the item
Make sure the Riot ID on LoLEsports.com belongs to the game account where you expect the reward. The 2024 guide said viewers needed to sign in and opt in to Drops and Rewards. It also described a green checkmark on the player page as the indicator that setup was working. If you watched while signed out or on a different Riot account, check the event’s instructions for whether the reward can be redirected; do not assume it will transfer automatically.
Check event-specific eligibility and opt-in
Opt-in, region, and account eligibility requirements can depend on the event. An older LCS drops guide includes historical eligibility details, but those should not be treated as universal current rules. Follow the eligibility terms in the announcement for the event you watched.

Check the drop card and allow for delivery
If a drop appeared, open its card and follow any redemption instructions shown there. Riot’s 2024 guide said in-game items usually reached the account within 24 hours. That is typical guidance, not a guaranteed deadline for every event. Riot’s 2022 rewards and drops update also gives historical delivery and support guidance; it does not establish a universal current processing time.
When to contact Riot Support
If you met the event’s requirements, checked the correct Riot account and any drop-card claim step, and the reward is still missing, use Riot Support. Include the event and date, your Riot ID and region, the reward name or drop-card details, where you watched, and screenshots of relevant account or drop information. These details can help explain the issue; they are practical preparation, not a published Riot checklist.

Do not confuse LoL Esports drops with Twitch promotions
Some League promotions use Twitch, but their rules do not automatically apply to LoL Esports website drops. Riot’s January 2026 “For Demacia!” Twitch Drops announcement describes a separate creator-channel promotion involving a linked Riot account and eligible League Partner Program channels. Follow the instructions for the promotion you actually watched.
