Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice is a well-received, old-school point-and-click adventure, especially for fans of the series and the genre. Its biggest drawback is puzzle logic that can be hard to follow; its comedy is also heavy on sexual innuendo and juvenile humor. It is a stronger fit for players who enjoy classic inventory puzzles than for anyone looking for modern adventure mechanics.
What reviewers think of Wet Dreams Dry Twice
Reviews are favorable overall, though the praise is qualified: the game delivers a familiar adventure-game experience, but its puzzles and humor will not suit everyone.

- Meristation: Yago Lago gave it 8/10 in a review published 8 November 2020. The review praised its classic adventure structure, colorful cartoon art, music, English voice acting, and length, while noting that the formula changes little from its predecessor, some puzzles are difficult, and localization has minor errors. Read Meristation’s review.
- Other critics: Metacritic’s review excerpts reflect the same split. Screen Rant sees plenty for adventure fans, but warns that unusual puzzle logic can alienate players who dislike guessing. GameOver.gr notes budget limitations and occasional “moon logic”; IGN Italia describes a decent 2D adventure aimed at old-school fans, while criticizing juvenile humor and pacing. See the Metacritic critic-review roundup.
These are critics’ assessments, not a guarantee that the game will suit every player. The central question is whether its traditional puzzle-solving and comedy are appealing to you.
What kind of game is it?
This is a 2D point-and-click adventure built around exploring locations, talking to characters, collecting objects, and combining inventory items to solve puzzles. You follow Larry across the Kalau’a archipelago as he searches for Faith after the two become separated. The game also uses a task list, investigation sequences, and travel by raft using a map. Steam lists CrazyBunch as developer, Assemble Entertainment as publisher, and single-player support; its PC release date was 23 October 2020. Check the Steam listing.

- Give no - Help Larry solve difficult and exciting (and maybe a little erotic) new riddles and complete quests, providing him with a truly happy ending..
What works—and what may frustrate you
Classic adventure structure and presentation
Meristation praised the colorful cartoon presentation, soundtrack, English voice performances, and the game’s generous amount of content. Its estimate was roughly 15 hours, potentially longer if a player gets stuck or spends time exploring conversations and item combinations. That is the reviewer’s estimate, not a guaranteed completion time.
Puzzles that can demand guesswork
The most consistent caveat is puzzle reasoning. Some solutions may feel opaque or depend on combinations that are difficult to infer, a style often described by reviewers as “moon logic.” If you enjoy experimenting with inventory items and revisiting conversations, that can be part of the genre’s appeal; if you prefer clearly signposted solutions, it may become frustrating.
Familiar rather than mechanically new
Meristation regarded the game as a largely continuous follow-up to Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, with little evolution in its visual or gameplay formula. That continuity is a plus if you want another traditional Larry adventure, but not if your priority is a sequel that substantially reinvents the series.
Comedy for a particular audience
The humor relies heavily on sexual innuendo and adult references. Meristation describes the sexual content as suggestive rather than explicit; that is the reviewer’s characterization. The PlayStation Store separately flags crude humor, nudity, sexual content, and strong language on its PS4 listing. See the US PlayStation Store listing and its content descriptors.

Do you need to play Wet Dreams Don’t Dry first?
No. Meristation says a new player can enjoy Wet Dreams Dry Twice without having played Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, though the earlier game provides context. The story starts immediately after the previous adventure, so returning players will have more background on Larry and Faith; newcomers can still follow the search that drives this game.

- Good fit: players who like classic point-and-click adventures, inventory puzzles, exploratory dialogue, and the Leisure Suit Larry series.
- Potentially poor fit: players who dislike opaque puzzle solutions, want substantial mechanical novelty, or do not enjoy juvenile sexual comedy.
- Check content first: the PlayStation listing flags crude humor, nudity, sexual content, and strong language. Store descriptors and a reviewer’s description of the tone serve different purposes; consider both when deciding whether it is appropriate for you.

Verdict: should you play it?
Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice is worth considering if you want a traditional point-and-click adventure with cartoon style, a substantial story, and risqué comedy. Its reviews point to a clear trade-off: the classic format is part of its appeal, but puzzle solutions can be frustrating, and the humor is deliberately juvenile. Fans of the series and old-school adventures are the likeliest audience; players seeking modern puzzle guidance or a fresh mechanical approach may want to look elsewhere.
