Does 240Hz mean 5K2K gaming at 240 frames per second?
No. The 240Hz figure is LG’s advertised maximum display refresh rate, not a promise that a connected PC or game will produce 240 frames per second at 5120 × 2160. LG cautions: “Actual refresh rates may vary depending on computer graphics specifications and configurations.” The official product information does not establish which computers, settings, or games can sustain the full resolution and refresh rate together, and no independent performance measurements are established here.

LG calls it the world’s largest 5K2K gaming monitor based on published specifications as of December 2025, according to its U.S. product page. That is a manufacturer claim tied to that date, not a current independent market survey. LG introduced the UltraGear evo line in December 2025 with three models—39GX950B, 27GM950B, and 52G930B—in its lineup announcement; the other models should not be assumed to share the 52G930B’s panel format or features.

What to verify before buying
- Regional SKU and availability: Match the full model code to your country and confirm current stock, price, and any active promotion with the seller.
- PC output and game support: Check that your graphics hardware, connection, and chosen games support the resolution and refresh rate you want.
- Desk and seating fit: A 52-inch curved display needs substantial desk space and a comfortable viewing distance. Check the stand’s footprint and adjustability against your setup.
- Console expectations: The launch bonus included a console gaming gift-card option, but that does not establish that a console can use the monitor’s full 5120 × 2160 resolution or 240Hz refresh rate.
