How long does the battery last?
The headline rating
Logitech rates the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE at approximately 90 hours. That is a rated figure rather than a promise that every user will obtain exactly 90 hours between charges. The regional specification identifies the number as an approximate battery-life estimate, so treat it as a planning figure for normal wireless use, not a stopwatch result that applies to every configuration.
Why your result can be lower
The mouse’s manual explicitly warns that higher Click Haptics strength values consume more power and reduce battery life. The practical runtime also depends on the polling-rate setting, wireless conditions and how the mouse is used. A setup running stronger haptics or a more demanding polling configuration can therefore need charging sooner than the headline estimate. Activity patterns matter as well: long daily sessions naturally use the available charge faster than intermittent use.

- Play Longer : With 60-90 hours battery life and LIGHTSPEED Wireless, this rechargeable gaming mouse(with included USB-A to USB-C cable) delivers lag-free 8 kHz polling for uninterrupted focus
When comparing the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE with another wireless mouse, compare the conditions behind each manufacturer’s number. A battery claim measured at a different polling rate or with different feature settings is not an apples-to-apples comparison. Look for the stated polling rate, haptics or lighting features, and test conditions before treating one headline hour figure as proof of longer real-world endurance.
What the rating does not tell you
Logitech’s reviewed materials do not publish a guaranteed minimum runtime, a battery-health figure after a specified number of charge cycles, or a universal estimate for a particular polling-rate and haptics combination. Those values should not be inferred from the approximately 90-hour specification.
Charging and wired operation
Which cable is included?
The package includes a USB-A to USB-C cable. The USB-A plug connects to the computer or another compatible USB power source, while the USB-C plug connects to the mouse. Logitech describes it as a charging/data cable, so it is also the cable used for a wired USB connection.

Can you use the mouse while it charges?
Yes. Connect the cable and continue using the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE as a wired USB mouse while the internal battery charges. This is useful when the wireless charge is low: the cable provides the data connection as well as power, so you do not have to stop using the mouse or wait for a full charge before continuing.
- Insert the USB-C end into the mouse.
- Insert the USB-A end into an available compatible USB port on the computer.
- Continue working or playing with the mouse in wired mode while it receives power.
- Disconnect the cable when you want to return to LIGHTSPEED wireless operation.
The official sources reviewed do not state an exact time for a completely empty battery to reach 100 percent. Avoid relying on a numeric “full charge in” claim unless Logitech publishes a current figure for your region and firmware.

If charging or wired use does not work
- Confirm that the USB-C plug is fully seated in the mouse and that the USB-A plug is connected to the computer.
- Use the supplied cable first, because it is the cable specified for charging and data.
- Check whether the mouse operates as a wired USB device. If it does, the cable is providing the data path even if your wireless setup needs separate attention.
- If the computer does not recognize the mouse, install or open Logitech G HUB after connecting it and make sure the computer has internet access for the download.
Wireless connection: LIGHTSPEED receiver, not Bluetooth
How wireless mode works
Wireless operation uses Logitech LIGHTSPEED through the supplied USB receiver. The receiver is shipped installed in an extension adapter, so the normal setup is to connect that receiver assembly to a compatible USB port on the computer. The mouse is not designed to discover a computer through a Bluetooth pairing screen.
Does it work with a Bluetooth-only laptop, phone or tablet?
No direct Bluetooth connection is documented, and RTINGS specifically reports that the mouse lacks Bluetooth. A laptop, phone or tablet that offers Bluetooth but no usable USB connection cannot connect to the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE through Bluetooth alone. For wireless use, you need a compatible USB port for the LIGHTSPEED receiver; for wired use, connect the supplied USB cable instead. Compatibility through phone or tablet adapters is not established by the cited materials, so do not assume that any particular mobile adapter will support it.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhat if the receiver is missing?
The package contents and setup guide confirm the included LIGHTSPEED receiver, but the reviewed documentation does not establish a guaranteed replacement-receiver pairing procedure or current regional stock for a replacement. If the receiver is lost, verify that a receiver specifically listed for the PRO X2/SUPERSTRIKE is available and that Logitech’s current G HUB pairing instructions support it before buying a replacement or the mouse itself.
Windows, macOS and G HUB requirements
Windows
Logitech’s regional specification calls for Windows and an available USB 2.0-or-later port. Internet access is required to download Logitech G HUB. The USB requirement applies to both the LIGHTSPEED receiver and, when used, the wired cable’s host connection. A computer with only Bluetooth does not satisfy the wireless requirement.
macOS
macOS is listed as optional rather than as an unconditional promise for every release. Before purchase or deployment, check that the current G HUB download and firmware support the exact macOS version on the target Mac. Once supported, the connection choices remain the same: use a compatible USB port for the LIGHTSPEED receiver or use the supplied USB cable. The absence of Bluetooth does not change on Mac.

What G HUB is for
G HUB is the software Logitech specifies for setup and supported configuration. Internet access is needed to download it. If you are preparing a new computer, install G HUB before troubleshooting feature settings; if you are checking a Mac, confirm support for the operating-system version before relying on software-managed functions. The available materials do not provide a universal list of every G HUB control or a guaranteed firmware matrix for every macOS release, so those details should be checked against Logitech’s current software documentation.
POWERPLAY wireless charging
What is included
The box contains a POWERPLAY aperture door with foot. This part prepares the underside of the mouse for a compatible POWERPLAY charging module or system. It is an interface component, not the charging system itself.
What you still need
A compatible POWERPLAY module/system is optional and is not listed as an included charger. If you want continuous wireless charging, budget for that separate accessory and verify compatibility with the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE. Without the module, charge through the USB-A to USB-C cable or use the mouse wired while connected.
How to think about the choice
- USB charging: included, works with the mouse in wired mode and requires no extra charging hardware.
- POWERPLAY: enables the optional wireless-charging ecosystem, but requires a compatible module/system in addition to the mouse.
The setup materials identify the aperture door and its purpose, but they do not establish a universal installation sequence for every POWERPLAY product revision. Follow the instructions supplied with the compatible module rather than forcing the door or assuming that any wireless charging pad will work.

Quick troubleshooting by symptom
Battery life is well below the approximately 90-hour rating
- Check Click Haptics strength first; Logitech’s manual states that higher values use more power.
- Review the polling-rate setting and your usage pattern. Higher-demand settings and longer sessions can reduce the interval between charges.
- Consider wireless conditions, which can also affect practical runtime.
- Do not treat the 90-hour figure as a guaranteed result for every combination of settings.
The mouse will not connect wirelessly
- Make sure the LIGHTSPEED receiver and its extension adapter are connected to a usable USB port.
- Remember that Bluetooth pairing is not an alternative; this model has no documented Bluetooth mode.
- Connect the supplied cable to test the mouse in wired USB mode.
- Use G HUB on a supported computer if software setup or current support information is required.
The computer does not detect it over USB
- Reconnect the USB-A to USB-C cable at both ends.
- Try the receiver or cable on an available USB 2.0-or-later port, as specified for Windows compatibility.
- Install G HUB with an internet connection and check whether the software recognizes the mouse.
You are planning to use a Mac
Confirm the exact macOS version against current G HUB and firmware support before depending on software features. Plan to use USB for either the receiver or the cable; Bluetooth is not available as a fallback.
You lost the receiver
Do not assume that a generic LIGHTSPEED receiver will pair. The reviewed official materials do not verify a guaranteed replacement path or regional availability. Check Logitech’s current PRO X2/SUPERSTRIKE receiver listing and pairing instructions before purchasing a replacement.
What to check when comparing another mouse
The PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE’s approximately 90-hour figure is meaningful only alongside its connection and feature conditions. For a fair comparison, check each candidate against the same questions:
- Is the battery number rated at the same polling rate?
- Does the mouse support wired USB use while charging?
- Does it offer USB wireless, Bluetooth, or both?
- Which operating systems and software versions are supported?
- Is a receiver included, and is a replacement receiver documented?
- Does wireless charging require a separate module?
- Are haptics or other configurable features known to affect runtime?
This checklist prevents a common mistake: comparing a large battery-hour headline with no regard for connection method, software requirements or the accessories needed to maintain wireless operation.

Choose the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE if you want a LIGHTSPEED wireless mouse rated for approximately 90 hours, with the safety net of wired USB use when charging. Plan around the included receiver rather than Bluetooth, and confirm USB access on the target computer. Windows users need a USB 2.0-or-later port and G HUB download access; Mac users should verify current G HUB and firmware support for their exact macOS release. POWERPLAY is available as an expansion path through the included aperture door, but the charging module is extra. The only major power specification Logitech does not publish in the reviewed materials is a full-charge time.
