What the Logitech G Racing Adapter does
Logitech describes the Racing Adapter as a bridge for mixing compatible G Series and Racing/PRO Series equipment. It connects legacy 9-pin serial peripherals with newer USB peripherals, allowing selected combinations of wheels, pedals, and the Driving Force Shifter across generations. It is not a universal converter: a device appearing in Logitech’s compatibility information does not mean it works with every other listed device.

Which devices can it connect?
Logitech’s support article describes supported combinations involving G29, G920, and G923 wheels; RS50 and PRO products; G-series pedals; RS/PRO pedals; and the Driving Force Shifter. The supported route differs by component and platform, so use the official compatibility information and matrix to check the exact wheel, pedal, shifter, and connection route you intend to use.

- Using pedals across generations: Logitech identifies G-series and RS/PRO pedals, but the supported connection depends on which wheel or wheel base they are being connected to.
Console and PC connection options
Console
For the compatibility Logitech describes on console, the adapter is required. Do not assume a supported console pairing also works through a direct connection, or that all combinations in the matrix apply to every console.
PC
Logitech describes direct USB connections as an option for supported PC setups, so the adapter is not required for every PC configuration. Check the matrix for the exact devices and route rather than buying the adapter solely because you are connecting G Series and RS/PRO gear.

What the adjustment dial is for
When PRO/RS pedals are connected to a G-series wheel, Logitech says the adapter’s dial can adjust load-cell brake force. Logitech says the dial is not needed when those pedals connect directly to a PRO/RS50 wheel. This is a specific adjustment use; it does not make otherwise unsupported combinations compatible.
