You cannot preorder Lost and Found Co. on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 yet. Bit Egg and Nintendo announced an early 2027 release during the October 28, 2026 Indie World Showcase, but as of October 30 there is no Nintendo eShop product page, retailer SKU, Switch price, physical edition, or preorder bonus. If you want to play now, the PC and macOS version is available on Steam; if you specifically want Nintendo hardware, the practical move is to monitor the eShop and official accounts, then add the game to your wish list as soon as its listing appears.

What is the confirmed Lost and Found Co. Switch release window?

The official window is early 2027 for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Bit Egg’s October 28 press release, Nintendo’s Indie World announcement, the game’s official account, and Gematsu’s game listing all use 2027 wording. No day-and-month date has been announced.

The announcement used the tagline “Every lost item has a story.” The official account wrote on October 28: “Every lost item has a story. Lost and Found Co. is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch in early 2027!” Nintendo Indie World posted: “Every lost item has a story in Lost and Found Co., coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch in 2027! What secrets will you discover on your adventure?”

Bit Egg’s press release says the console editions include “all the content currently available on Steam” plus Nintendo-specific features. That describes the planned versions, not a promise that every future PC update will arrive on the same day.

  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

The game account followed up on October 29, thanking Nintendo and Indie World: “Thank you so much, @NintendoAmerica and @IndieWorldNA, for featuring us! We’re incredibly excited to release on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch next year.” Taken together, the studio and Nintendo statements establish the platform and year, but they do not establish a month, launch day, regional rollout schedule, or preorder date. “Early 2027” is the useful planning window for now.

Gematsu’s listing describes the Switch and Switch 2 release as worldwide in early 2027, and its current buy link points only to Steam. That worldwide window is not proof that every regional eShop page will appear at once. Regional product pages, language details, and availability should be checked against the eShop tied to your Nintendo Account once Nintendo publishes them.

Can I preorder Lost and Found Co. on Switch today?

No. A Nintendo eShop listing and retailer SKU do not exist as of October 30, 2026. Searches for the eShop, Amazon, a physical edition, a Switch price, and a Nintendo wish-list page found no product listing, so there is no legitimate checkout path to complete today.

There is also no announced Switch MSRP, cartridge or Game-Key Card, collector’s edition, amiibo, soundtrack bundle, or preorder incentive. Do not treat a generic Switch console or Joy-Con 2 listing as a preorder for the game.

This is a “not yet” situation rather than a preorder that is temporarily hidden behind a retailer link. The Otaku Authority also notes that a specific date and price have not been announced; Techtroduce reported on October 29 that exact launch-date and pricing details were still missing. A page claiming to take payment for a Switch copy, promising an early code, or advertising an unannounced bonus should not be treated as an official offer.

There is no announced Nintendo eShop product ID, preorder count, or price estimate to use as a workaround. Until Bit Egg or Nintendo confirms a listing, readers cannot reserve a digital copy or verify a legitimate physical copy by SKU.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How do I preorder when the Nintendo listing goes live?

Once Nintendo publishes a product page, these are the normal steps. The exact menu wording can vary by region, but Nintendo uses the terms Search, Wish List, and Pre-purchase.

  1. Open Nintendo eShop. Use the eShop on your Switch or Switch 2, or the Nintendo website or app while signed in to the Nintendo Account that will own the game.
  2. Search for the title. Try Lost and Found Co. first, then Lost & Found Co. if the first search returns nothing.
  3. Add it to your Wish List. Do this as soon as the page exists, even if Nintendo has not enabled pre-purchase. A wish-list entry can make it easier to find the correct regional listing and may trigger Nintendo notifications when availability changes.
  4. Use Pre-purchase only when it appears. Complete checkout with Nintendo Account funds, a linked payment card, or another payment method offered by your regional eShop. A digital purchase normally queues for download and becomes playable on launch day.
  5. Check your account region. eShop purchases are tied to the country or region of the Nintendo Account. Gematsu’s “worldwide” early-2027 window does not guarantee that every regional storefront will publish its page at the same time.
  6. Use an official retailer only for a later physical SKU. If Bit Egg or Nintendo announces a cartridge or Game-Key Card, verify the SKU through Nintendo’s retailer information or a reputable local game store before paying.

Until a real listing appears, a page asking for payment, promising an early code, or advertising an unannounced bonus is not an official Lost and Found Co. preorder.

When comparing a future eShop page with a retailer offer, check the platform name carefully: a Switch 2 label is not automatically interchangeable with an original Switch listing, and no cross-buy or upgrade policy has been announced. Also check the account region before purchasing. The announcement’s worldwide window does not replace the regional availability and payment details shown by your own store.

Is November 10, 2026 the Switch release date?

No. November 10, 2026 is not the authoritative date. A few secondary game pages displayed that date, but it conflicts with Nintendo’s and Bit Egg’s own announcements from October 28, which say 2027 or early 2027. Treat November 10 as an erroneous listing rather than an alternate launch date.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Nintendo Everything published the November 10 date on October 28, and Digital Foundry’s game page also listed November 10. CQ-esports repeated it on October 29 and framed it as a Switch 2 launch date. Those pages do not override the same-day official statements from Nintendo and Bit Egg. No source has established why the conflicting date appeared, so it is best not to infer a cause.

The PC version’s date is separate: Steam and Metacritic display March 5, 2026, while Gematsu and Wikipedia show March 6, 2026. Those are the same launch viewed through different time-zone or listing conventions, not evidence of a Switch release. The Steam page’s March 5 display is not a Nintendo launch date.

What features are planned for the Switch and Switch 2 versions?

The Nintendo editions are designed around several input and multiplayer options. Bit Egg has grouped the features in one announcement rather than publishing a complete feature chart for each SKU.

Touch and motion on Nintendo hardware

In handheld mode, players can tap, pinch, and drag on the touchscreen. Motion controls can guide the on-screen cursor. The game is an isometric hidden-object adventure, so these options are intended to make point-and-click searching feel natural away from a desk.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Joy-Con 2 mouse control on Switch 2

Joy-Con 2 mouse controls are a Switch 2-specific feature. They are a control method for aiming at objects, not a separate product and not a reason to buy an unannounced accessory bundle. Bit Egg has not said that the original Switch will receive mouse mode.

Four-player local and online cooperation

The Nintendo announcement advertises cooperative play for up to four players, both locally on one device and online through GameShare via GameChat. GameShare and Joy-Con 2 mouse mode are Switch 2 system features; the original Switch is still announced to receive the game, while the available coverage specifically calls out touchscreen and motion controls for Nintendo hardware.

Bit Egg has not published a feature-by-SKU table, a cross-buy policy, or an upgrade price from Switch to Switch 2. Do not assume that buying one digital edition automatically grants the other.

In practical terms, the planned Nintendo input choices give players alternatives to a conventional mouse: touchscreen interaction in handheld mode, motion aiming, and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls on Switch 2. The announcement does not say that every control option is available on every console model, so check the eventual product description for the exact version you intend to buy.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The multiplayer announcement is notable because the Steam campaign is described as single-player. Nintendo coverage advertises up to four-player local and online cooperation, but that should not be read as confirmation that Steam will receive the same feature or that the original Switch uses GameShare. The details of how local play is divided across systems and controllers are not set out in a full feature chart.

Should I wait for Switch or play Lost and Found Co. on Steam now?

There are two genuine choices: wait for Nintendo’s early-2027 release, or buy the already available PC/macOS version. The better option depends on whether Nintendo-specific controls and cooperation matter more to you than playing immediately.

Your options on October 30, 2026
Option Availability Price certainty Controls Co-op
Wait for Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 Early 2027; no day-and-month date Switch price not announced Touchscreen and motion; Joy-Con 2 mouse on Switch 2 Up to four-player local and online GameShare via GameChat advertised
Buy on Steam Available now for PC and macOS $17.99 list; $14.39 sale price through November 9, 2026 Mouse-and-keyboard point-and-click Campaign described as single-player

The Nintendo route is the one to choose if portable play, touchscreen searching, motion aiming, or the advertised four-player features are central to your plans. Steam is the only way to start the game immediately and has a known price, but it does not provide the Nintendo-exclusive control and GameShare features.

Waiting also leaves two important buying questions open: the Nintendo MSRP and whether Switch and Switch 2 editions will cost the same. Neither has been announced. There is no Nintendo price against which to compare the Steam sale, and the current PC discount should not be used to predict an eventual console price.

Buying Steam now gives you a game to play without waiting for the early-2027 window, with a free demo available if you want to try it first. It also means buying for a separate platform: no Steam-to-Nintendo transfer, cross-buy, or owner discount has been announced. If you know you only want to play on Nintendo hardware, waiting is the straightforward option.

What is included in the Steam version, and how much does it cost?

The Steam release is developed and published by Bit Egg Inc., with Gamirror Games as co-publisher. Steam lists app 2101390 and a free demo under app 2179510. Steam’s storefront displays a March 5, 2026 release date; Metacritic uses the same date.

The temporary discount was tied to the Switch announcement and gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026. Steam’s price and sale end date are storefront terms checked in October 2026; they do not predict the eventual Nintendo price.

Steam’s page reports 97% positive from 1,483 English-language reviews and 93% positive from 182 reviews in the last 30 days, with the overall label “Overwhelmingly Positive.” Bit Egg reported a 97% positive rating from more than 3,000 Steam reviews and over 100,000 copies sold in 2026. Metacritic reports a 90/100 Metascore, labeled Universal Acclaim, from six critic reviews, all positive, plus a 9.4 user score from 24 ratings. These figures come from the named platforms or Bit Egg, not from independent testing by this site.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Bit Egg describes more than 30 hand-drawn levels, over 20 hours of exploration, more than 10,000 hand-drawn and fully animated objects, and an original soundtrack with more than 130 tracks.

The game follows Ducky, a duck transformed into a human intern at Goddess Mei’s magical lost-and-found company in Plumville. Its core loop is an isometric search through densely illustrated, animated scenes, with optional objectives, a hint and “juju” system, and an office-decoration mode. The PC campaign is described as single-player, so Steam is not a substitute for the Nintendo versions’ advertised four-player play.

Bit Egg’s sales figure is a studio-reported milestone: it said the game had sold over 100,000 copies in 2026. Wikipedia, updated October 28, 2026, records more than 100,000 copies sold worldwide by August 2026. These figures indicate that the title has found an audience, but they do not establish how many copies a Nintendo release might sell; no Switch sales forecast has been published.

Metacritic’s 90 out of 100 score is based on six critic reviews and is labeled Universal Acclaim; its 9.4 user score is based on 24 user ratings. Steam’s displayed 97% figure for 1,483 English-language reviews and its separate 93% figure for 182 reviews in the last 30 days use different review groups and time periods. They are snapshots of storefront and aggregator ratings, not a guarantee that every player will enjoy the game.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The title also received recognition before the console announcement. Wikipedia’s October 28, 2026 entry records the 2024 SEA Game Awards Grand Jury Award and Best Visual Art, along with Thai Game Fest awards in 2026 including Thai Game of the Year. GameGrin reviewer Violet Plata awarded it 10/10 and described it as “An amazing display of passion and attention to detail wrapped up in a lighthearted and anime-like adventure! Call me Mei and Ducky’s #1 fan.”

There is a longer development history behind the current Steam build. Wikipedia records that a Steam demo arrived on July 17, 2023, that the original February 11, 2026 PC target was delayed to March 6, and that later updates added content and Korean localisation. A June 2026 summer update and an October 1 update featuring the stages “Love After Life” and “Fangtastic Feast” are among the recorded updates. Those dates help explain why a current Steam version has content beyond the original launch, but Bit Egg has not confirmed which post-launch additions will be in the day-one Nintendo build.

For the Steam version, use the official store page: Lost and Found Co. on Steam.

Will there be a physical Switch edition?

Nothing physical has been announced. There is currently no confirmed cartridge, Game-Key Card, collector’s edition, soundtrack, art book, or Amazon SKU. The only confirmed purchase available now is the Steam edition.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If a physical release is announced later, check whether it is a full cartridge or a Game-Key Card and whether it is sold in your Nintendo Account region. Those formats can have different storage and download requirements, but Bit Egg has not provided details for this game.

For now, Amazon is not a checkout path for the Nintendo game. A retailer listing should only be considered meaningful once it identifies an actual Lost and Found Co. Switch SKU and matches an announcement from Bit Egg or Nintendo. The same caution applies to collector items: no amiibo, art book, soundtrack product, or preorder package has been confirmed.

What should I monitor for a real preorder?

Use primary announcements and the eShop rather than a retailer’s unverified date field.

  • Search Nintendo eShop periodically for the exact title.
  • Follow Nintendo Indie World (@IndieWorldNA) and Nintendo of America announcements.
  • Follow the official game account (@_LostAndFoundCo) and Bit Egg for the date, price, and SKU news.
  • Keep the Steam page bookmarked if you decide to play while waiting.
  • Recheck physical-retailer listings only after Nintendo or Bit Egg confirms a physical format.

The missing details are still substantial: the exact day, Switch and Switch 2 MSRP, digital-only versus cartridge availability, regional eShop product IDs, preorder bonuses, age ratings, cross-buy or upgrade terms, and whether every post-launch Steam stage will be present in the day-one Nintendo builds.

For a reliable update, prioritize Nintendo’s eShop and official announcements from Nintendo Indie World, Nintendo of America, @_LostAndFoundCo, and Bit Egg. Gematsu’s game hub can be a useful secondary check, but its current listing links buyers to Steam rather than a Nintendo storefront. A date field on a secondary page should not be treated as a launch confirmation when it conflicts with the official early-2027 window.

Readers who want to act now have two sensible choices: save the Steam page for the available PC/macOS version, or wait and search the Nintendo eShop again as the console launch approaches. There is no need to pay a third party to “reserve” a game that has no published Nintendo SKU.

What languages are planned for the Nintendo launch?

Bit Egg lists English, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, and Korean for the Nintendo release, with more languages planned. The announcement does not provide a final language-by-region matrix, so a particular eShop page should be treated as the definitive list for your account.

That list is a planned launch-language set, not a guarantee that every regional storefront will display the same language information on the same day. If a language is essential to your purchase decision, check the final eShop listing for your region rather than relying only on the general announcement.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

What is the practical answer for Switch owners?

There is no Switch preorder to place yet. Add the game to your Nintendo wish list when its official page appears, verify the region and price before using Pre-purchase, and ignore November 10, 2026 listings unless Nintendo or Bit Egg replaces the early-2027 announcement with a formal date.

If you want to play before then, Steam is the only confirmed route today, with a free demo and a temporary sale price of $14.39 through November 9, 2026. If you are waiting for Nintendo’s controls or advertised co-op, hold off on any payment until an official eShop page or retailer SKU exists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a Steam purchase transfer to Nintendo Switch or Switch 2?

No transfer or cross-buy arrangement has been announced. The Steam and Nintendo editions are separate platform purchases, and Bit Egg has not described account linking or a discount for owners of the PC version.

Will the Nintendo versions include every Steam update and bonus stage?

Bit Egg says the Switch versions bring the content currently available on Steam, but it has not confirmed that every later PC update will launch simultaneously on Nintendo hardware. The final eShop description and version notes will be the best evidence once the listing exists.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Which Nintendo Switch models support Joy-Con 2 mouse controls?

The announcement identifies Joy-Con 2 mouse controls as a Switch 2 feature. Original Switch owners should expect the announced touchscreen and motion options, but not assume mouse mode without a separate compatibility statement.

What languages will Lost and Found Co. support on Nintendo consoles?

The planned launch languages are English, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, and Korean. Bit Egg says additional languages are coming, while the exact language availability for each regional eShop remains unlisted.

Can I play a demo before deciding whether to wait?

Yes. Steam offers a free demo for the PC and macOS version. There is no announced Nintendo demo or trial listing yet.

Is November 10, 2026 an official Nintendo release date?

No. Nintendo and Bit Egg announced an early-2027 window on October 28, 2026. November 10 appeared on some secondary pages, but it conflicts with those official statements and should not be treated as the Switch launch date.

Free tools Windows power users keep installed

Has Nintendo announced a Switch price or preorder bonus?

No. There is no announced Switch or Switch 2 MSRP, preorder bonus, or preorder date. Wait for an official Nintendo eShop listing or Bit Egg announcement before relying on a price or incentive.

Can I order a physical copy from Amazon now?

No confirmed Switch cartridge, Game-Key Card, or Amazon SKU has been announced. Do not mistake a generic console or Joy-Con 2 product listing for a copy of the game.

Does the early-2027 window guarantee the game is already listed in my country’s eShop?

No. The worldwide window reported by Gematsu does not guarantee that all regional storefronts publish listings together. Check the eShop and account region you will use to buy the game.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: Lost and Found Co. is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in early 2027, but there is no preorder, price, physical SKU, or bonus to buy yet. Wishlist the official eShop page when it appears, and use Steam only if you want to play before the Nintendo release.
