Mai Shiranui joined Street Fighter 6 on February 5, 2025, as the third additional character in Year 2. Capcom made her available as an individual Fighter Coin purchase, and owners of the Year 2 Character Pass or Year 2 Ultimate Pass received access automatically. When did Mai Shiranui come to Street Fighter 6?
Mai became playable in Street Fighter 6 on February 5, 2025. She is a guest character from SNK’s Fatal Fury series and the third character added in the game’s Year 2 lineup. Capcom’s official trailer introduced her as a guest arriving in the game.

How to get Mai in Street Fighter 6
Capcom announced two access routes: buy Mai individually with Fighter Coins, or receive her through an eligible Year 2 pass. The announcement does not establish current Fighter Coin prices, so check the in-game store for the price in your region.
- Individual purchase: use Fighter Coins to buy Mai separately.
- Year 2 Character Pass or Year 2 Ultimate Pass: Mai is included, so owners receive access automatically.
Is Mai included in the Year 2 pass?
Yes. Capcom said owners of either the Year 2 Character Pass or Year 2 Ultimate Pass would receive Mai automatically. For new buyers, the Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition is another option: Capcom announced it for June 5, 2025, with the base game and Year 2 Character Pass among its contents. The exact product listing can vary by platform, so confirm the included content on the storefront before buying.

Which platforms have Street Fighter 6?
Capcom lists the original game’s release date as June 2, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Capcom also announced a Nintendo Switch 2 release for June 5, 2025. Check the listing for your platform to confirm the specific edition and pass contents available.

Mai originated in SNK’s Fatal Fury franchise. SNK also announced her as a playable character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, making that game relevant for players who want to see her in her home series.
