Games announced Marceline and Raven as headline additions to MultiVersus Season 4, “Midnight Misfits.” The season began November 12, 2024, but the characters did not arrive on the same day: Raven was available at launch, while Marceline joined on December 16. The announcement is now historical—the game’s online features ended May 30, 2025.
When did Raven and Marceline arrive?
Season 4 started November 12, 2024, with DC’s Raven and Adventure Time’s Marceline presented as its headline characters, according to contemporary announcement coverage from Mi5 Communications.
Raven: at the start of Season 4
Raven was available when the season began. The official MultiVersus Season 4 notes listed several ways to obtain her in-game: Gleamium, a Character Ticket, direct purchase, a bundle, Fighter Currency, or Fighter Road.
Marceline: December 16, 2024
Warner Bros. Games’ December 16 announcement said Marceline joined the playable roster that day. She was therefore a later Season 4 addition, not a character available alongside Raven on November 12.

What did Marceline’s gameplay involve?
Warner Bros. Games identified Marceline as a Bruiser and described her beloved bass as central to her moveset. Her rhythm-based attacks could be amplified, and she could transform into a vampire bat to strike, grab, and elbow opponents. The announcement also named two variants: Marceline in a Sun Hat and Marceline of the Far Lands.
What else arrived in Season 4?
The official patch notes also introduced Arena Mode, which supported up to 16 players arranged as eight teams of two. The season’s broader headline, however, was the addition of Raven at launch and Marceline later in the season.

Can you still play MultiVersus online?
No. In its January 31, 2025 update, Warner Bros. Games described Season 5 as the game’s final seasonal content update, said real-money transactions had ended, and announced that online features would end May 30, 2025. The publisher also said the game would no longer be available to play online or download after that date.
The shutdown notice said players who wanted offline play after May 30 had to download the latest game version and log in during Season 5. That was the publisher’s stated condition at the time; it does not establish that a new player can now download or launch the game. Present access may depend on platform and account access.
