Was there a Marvel Rivals patch on April 4?
No April 4 deployment appears in the official notes covered here. NetEase’s Version 20250327 patch notes were published March 26 and scheduled the update for March 27, 2025, at 09:00 UTC+0. The notes called it a seamless update with no server downtime.
The April 4 date appears in those notes as the end of the Easter egg reward claim period, not as the patch date. NetEase’s separate April 4 Season 2 announcement previewed a season scheduled to start April 11.
What did Version 20250327 change?
New content and the April Fool’s reward
The notes list a Pick-Up Bundle under New Content. They also describe an April Fool’s Easter egg gift tied to Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure: players who collected all event rewards could claim the special gift from April 1, 2025, at 00:00 UTC+0 through April 4, 2025, at 00:00 UTC+0.

General and map fixes

- Map terrain: Fixed terrain issues that could trap or clip characters.
- Hydra Charteris Base: Fixed an issue where Rocket Raccoon’s B.R.B. could sometimes revive teammates outside the play area.
Hero fixes
- Hulk: Fixed an issue after Wolverine’s Feral Leap caused a terrain knockout.
- Iron Fist: Fixed wall climbing in the Practice Range.
- Iron Man: Fixed an issue involving Hyper-Velocity followed by portal entry in Sanctum Sanctorum.
- Loki: Fixed an issue when transformed into Doctor Strange using the Pentagram of Farallah in Doom Match.
- Magneto: Fixed post-match MVP visuals.
- Wolverine: Fixed an issue affecting his Ultimate under high network latency.
- Human Torch: Fixed an issue where his Primary Attack could occasionally miss.
Console chat fix
The notes also list a console issue where focus in the chat window could jump to earlier messages.
Were there hero balance changes?
No. Version 20250327’s hero entries are described as bug fixes; the notes do not list hero balance changes. They should not be used to draw conclusions about current hero strength.

What did NetEase announce on April 4?
The separate Season 2: Hellfire Gala announcement said the season was scheduled to begin April 11, 2025. NetEase previewed Emma Frost for the first half of the season and Ultron for the second half, alongside two new maps, special events, and new Team-Ups.
In that announcement, NetEase reported more than 40 million players and more than 4 million Discord community members. Those are publisher-reported figures dated to the April 4 announcement, not independently audited counts.

No. The Season 2 announcement described a Razer collaboration involving haptics and lighting, naming the Razer Freyja gaming cushion, Razer Kraken V4 Pro gaming headset, and, for PC, Razer Wolverine V3 Pro wireless controller. These were optional peripherals; the patch notes do not say they were needed to update the game, play, or claim the Easter egg.
