Marvel Rivals Version 20241210, released December 10, 2024, was a bug-fix patch—not a content launch or balance update. It addressed issues across general gameplay, maps and modes, heroes, PC, and PlayStation. The developers said map-edge collision problems were “largely resolved,” and noted a temporary change to Doctor Strange’s portal terrain KOs.

General fixes
- Fixed crosshair deviation and lag in highlights and recordings.
- Fixed crashes that could occur when changing the highlight save location, delays in closing the game after a crash, and other common crashes.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent a joining player’s costume from displaying correctly when they entered Quick Match as a replacement.
- Fixed an incorrect display of Season Event mission progress and text errors.
Maps and modes
- Addressed map-edge collision problems that could leave characters stuck or let them clip into unintended areas. The developers singled out Hydra Charteris Base: Hell’s Heaven and Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface, but said the issue was “largely resolved” and could still occur in other areas while they worked on a more thorough solution.
- Fixed fog and visual-effect problems on Wakanda maps.
- Fixed lighting issues and doors becoming desynchronized on Frozen Airfield.
- Fixed several terrain and Ultimate interactions on Eldritch Monument.
- Fixed a Competitive objective-range display issue and unintended Ultimate-energy carryover between rounds.
Hero fixes
- Wolverine: Fixed missing voice lines for a costume.
- Star-Lord: Fixed missing audio in the MVP animation.
- Iron Fist: Fixed ping voice-line issues.
- Black Widow: Fixed an ADS sensitivity text error and an Ultimate energy recovery issue.
- Captain America: Fixed an issue with his Ultimate ending.
- Doctor Strange: The patch temporarily disabled portals’ terrain KO attribution. Terrain KOs would not count toward his own KOs until a future fix restored the attribution; this was not described as a permanent gameplay change.
PC and console fixes
- PC: Fixed memory leaks and blurry models that could result from changing resolution while using FSR 3 frame generation.
- PlayStation: Fixed an issue where the Scarlet Spider costume could appear unequipped after restarting.
What this patch means
Version 20241210 was a broad maintenance update focused on bugs rather than new content or balance changes. These notes describe the fixes announced in December 2024; they do not establish the current status of those issues in later versions of Marvel Rivals.
