Check the current reward screens for the blue Units icon: free rewards are not necessarily Units, and the available payouts and tasks can change by season.
Where to earn free Units
NetEase identifies three in-game sources for limited free Units: the Battle Pass, Achievements, and Events. The official explanation does not promise a daily income or set out a guaranteed current-season total, so check each live reward interface rather than relying on an old payout list. Look specifically for the blue Units icon.
- Battle Pass: Review its reward track and claim any rewards marked with the Units icon. Availability depends on the current pass.
- Achievements: Check achievement rewards and complete eligible objectives. The developer does not state a universal Units payout for achievements.
- Events: Review event tasks and reward previews while they are active. Events rotate, and a free event reward may be a cosmetic or another item rather than Units.
NetEase’s December 5, 2024 monetization explanation describes these as limited sources; it does not guarantee that every Battle Pass, achievement, or event offers Units.
Season 10 examples: event tasks and tournament rewards
The official Season 10 announcement says players can earn event rewards by completing The Tetrameron tasks. Check the event’s in-game reward preview to see which rewards are Units; the announcement does not state a Units total for those tasks.

The same announcement lists a costume reward for reaching Gold tier and rewards for Marvel Rivals Championship Season 10 participants. The Gold-tier reward is a costume, not Units. For the Championship, completing at least six Open Qualifier matches is the stated condition for securing roster Units and exclusive loot. This is a tournament participation route, not a general login or playtime reward. Consult the in-game MRC rewards preview for the exact reward details.
Are Twitch Drops a way to get Units?
Not according to the cited Season 10 announcement: its Twitch Drops are cosmetics and related items, not a confirmed source of Units. Drops can still be a way to claim free rewards, but they should not be counted as free currency.

Units, Lattice, and what “free” means
Units are the blue currency; Lattice is the premium gold currency. NetEase says Lattice can be exchanged for Units at a 1:1 ratio, while Units can also be earned for free in limited quantities through the sources above. Its monetization explanation describes Lattice as primarily acquired by purchase. Exchanging purchased Lattice for Units changes the currency type, but it does not make those Units free.
The same explanation says paid content is cosmetic. Its launch-era U.S. Steam price examples are historical, not current shop prices; consult the live game for present offerings and prices.

How to avoid outdated free-Units claims
- Use the current in-game Battle Pass, achievement, event, and MRC reward previews to confirm the reward and its conditions.
- Do not assume a past season’s totals or event tasks still apply. The developer’s general explanation names possible sources but does not establish a current guaranteed total.
- Distinguish a free cosmetic, title, or other item from Units. Only a reward explicitly marked as Units increases that currency balance.
