Marvel Rivals Season 2: Hellfire Gala was scheduled to begin on April 11, 2025. NetEase set maintenance to start at 2:00 a.m. PDT (09:00 UTC), with about two to three hours of downtime. That made the estimated time to play roughly 4:00–5:00 a.m. PDT, but the return time was not guaranteed.
Marvel Rivals Season 2 release time by time zone
The times below convert NetEase’s scheduled maintenance start and its estimated two-to-three-hour duration. The playable windows are estimates, not separate official launch-time promises.
| Time zone on April 11, 2025 | Maintenance begins | Estimated playable window |
|---|---|---|
| PDT (UTC−7) | 2:00 a.m., April 11 | 4:00–5:00 a.m., April 11 |
| EDT (UTC−4) | 5:00 a.m., April 11 | 7:00–8:00 a.m., April 11 |
| BST (UTC+1) | 10:00 a.m., April 11 | 12:00–1:00 p.m., April 11 |
| CEST (UTC+2) | 11:00 a.m., April 11 | 1:00–2:00 p.m., April 11 |
| JST (UTC+9) | 6:00 p.m., April 11 | 8:00–9:00 p.m., April 11 |
These conversions use the daylight-saving offsets in effect on April 11, 2025. For example, 09:00 UTC was 11:00 a.m. CEST; adding the estimated two to three hours puts the playable window at 1:00–2:00 p.m. CEST.
What the scheduled time meant
The 2:00 a.m. PDT time was the start of server maintenance, not the exact moment Season 2 became playable. NetEase expected maintenance to take approximately two to three hours, during which the servers would be offline. It also cautioned that “Server return times may vary based on progress.”

The date came from NetEase’s Season 2 announcement, which said Hellfire Gala would launch April 11, 2025. The announcement gave the date rather than a clock time; the more specific maintenance schedule appeared in the Version 20250411 Patch Notes, published April 8, 2025. The season date was also stated in NetEase’s Season 2 announcement.
What Season 2 added
Season 2 was planned as a three-month season split into two halves. NetEase said Emma Frost would arrive in the first half and Ultron in the second, alongside two new maps, events, and Team-Ups. The launch patch notes also listed the Hellfire Gala: Krakoa map, a new Battle Pass, seasonal event and reward content, weekly missions, a ranked reset, and ranked-system adjustments.
