Marvel Rivals Season 6, Night at the Museum, launched on January 16, 2026, bringing Deadpool to the roster as a hero who can fill three roles. The Museum of Contemplation convoy map did not arrive on launch day: NetEase scheduled it for a January 29 update. Season 6 is now historical; the official site showed Season 10.5 on October 8, 2026.
When did Marvel Rivals Season 6 launch?
NetEase announced Night at the Museum on January 13, 2026, and launched the season on January 16. The publisher’s Season 6 announcement is the primary source for the release date and feature details.
For regional context, TechRadar reported a 6 a.m. ET start on January 16, equivalent to 3 a.m. PT, 11 a.m. GMT, 10 p.m. AEST in Sydney and 8 p.m. JST in Tokyo. Its coverage said downtime began two hours earlier. These are reported launch-day times, not a schedule for later updates. TechRadar’s launch coverage has the timing details.
When did Deadpool come to Marvel Rivals?
Deadpool joined the roster with the January 16 season launch. His unusual feature was a triple-role design, with in-game skill upgrades supporting his different roles. In Quick and Competitive modes, each side was limited to one Deadpool. Those limits were specified in NetEase’s announcement; the rule should not be generalized to every mode.

What did the Season 6 update add?
Hero Proficiency progression and rewards
Season 6 raised the per-hero Hero Proficiency cap and added rewards as players progressed. NetEase listed Units, Unstable Molecules, Nameplates, Titles, Nameplate Frames, Badges and Dynamic Avatars. These were announced as in-game rewards, not physical items.
Times Square features
The update introduced Times Square Photo Mode, with controls for camera angles and filters. A later Times Square addition, The Clobberin’ Club, was scheduled for January 29. It offered duels and the option to spend Units to broadcast matches on the area’s big screens.

Accessories, costumes and faction rewards
The announcement also covered accessories for Deadpool and several existing heroes, a new rotation of costumes and MVPs for verified college students, and richer rewards for Marvel Rivals Championship factions. These were season-related digital additions; the announcement does not establish that the items remain obtainable today.
When did the Museum of Contemplation map arrive?
The Museum of Contemplation was a new convoy map, but it was not part of the January 16 launch-day content. NetEase scheduled it for the January 29 update, nearly two weeks after the season began. Keeping those dates separate matters if you are looking back at what was playable on launch day. The publisher’s announcement gives the planned timing, and its Season 6: Night at the Museum // Dev Vision Vol. 13 developer update provides additional official context.
Is Season 6 current, and are its rewards still available?
No: Season 6 is a past season. On October 8, 2026, the official Marvel Rivals site displayed Season 10.5 news and described the Museum of Contemplation story as part of Season 6’s past content. That confirms the season is no longer current, but it does not establish whether any particular Season 6 Battle Pass item, accessory or event reward can still be obtained. Check the current in-game menus or an up-to-date official announcement for item availability.
