If Phoenix Cyclops is missing from MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, check the release date first: as of October 7, 2026, he is scheduled to join on November 2, 2026. Before then, his absence is expected, even if you already bought the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass. On or after release, confirm the account owns the pass or an eligible edition, then check the add-on and download status. Check whether Phoenix Cyclops has been released
Phoenix Cyclops is the first Year 1 DLC character. PlayStation’s October 7, 2026 announcement says he is scheduled to arrive November 2, 2026. The game’s official FAQ says DLC characters become accessible upon their respective releases, so buying the pass early does not make him playable before that date. Read the announcement.

If you are checking before November 2, wait for the announced release rather than reinstalling the game or contacting support solely because Phoenix Cyclops is absent. If he is still missing on or after that date, continue with the entitlement checks below.
Confirm that your account includes the DLC
The Year 1 Character and Stage Pass includes four additional characters and one additional stage, each accessible when released. It also includes battle-result poses for the 20-character launch roster, available upon purchase. The PlayStation Store pass listing says the base game is required and sold separately.

- If you bought the pass, check the transaction history for the account that made the purchase. Make sure you are signed into that same account on the console.
- If you own only the base game, do not assume that it includes Year 1 DLC. The official FAQ says physical PS5 Standard Edition owners can purchase the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate upgrade from PlayStation Store and access the additional content once downloaded.
- If you expected the pass through an edition or upgrade, verify the exact edition and purchase in your account history rather than relying on the game disc or box alone.
Find and download the add-on on PS5
- On the PS5 home screen, open Game Library > Your Collection.
- Select MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls and scroll to Add-Ons.
- Look for the owned add-on and check whether it is downloaded or still waiting to download. If it is available to download, start the download and allow it to finish.
- If you use the PlayStation App, check the game’s library page and its Add-Ons section there as well.
- If the expected item is missing from the library, review transaction history to confirm the purchase and purchasing account.
The game FAQ confirms the pass contents and release timing, but does not specify that Phoenix Cyclops must appear as a separately selectable download. Check the game’s add-ons and ownership rather than assuming a particular standalone package name.
Restore a missing PS5 entitlement
If the release date has passed, ownership is confirmed, and the add-on still cannot be found or accessed, try these steps in order:

- Explore an original story in the single player Episode Mode, diving deeper into the lore behind each team.
- Restart the PS5, then check the game’s Add-Ons section again.
- Restore licenses: go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. PlayStation says this can help when an add-on cannot be located and does not affect user data.
- If the add-on and license checks do not resolve the issue, consult PlayStation’s add-on troubleshooting guide. It lists deleting and reinstalling the game as a later option; try that only after checking release timing, purchase, account, download state, and licenses.
Check disc and account regions
If you play from a disc, compare the region for which the disc is licensed with the region of the PlayStation account used for DLC. PlayStation warns that a mismatch can make DLC incompatible. This is a general PS5 compatibility check, not a confirmed defect specific to MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls; the game FAQ does not identify region mismatch as a cause.
What to check on PC
The official FAQ lists Steam and Epic as PC platforms. It also says online features require a PlayStation account and an internet connection, while some offline modes can be played without a PlayStation account. The PS5 menu and license-restoration steps above do not apply to PC.

On PC, verify that the account and storefront used to buy the game also owns the relevant pass or edition, and check that storefront’s library for the DLC and its installation status. These are general ownership checks; no game-specific Steam or Epic recovery procedure is established in the official materials cited here.
