What is officially confirmed for the Year 1 DLC?
In an announcement dated October 7, 2026, PlayStation named Phoenix Cyclops as the first DLC character included in the Year 1 Pass. He is scheduled to arrive November 2, 2026, alongside two DLC costumes named “Classic” and “Legacy.” PlayStation describes his fighting style as combining Optic Blast attacks with the Phoenix Force. PlayStation’s announcement also says the Phoenix interpretation was selected to explore a different visual identity and fighting style for Cyclops.

No. PlayStation says the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass grants four additional playable characters and one new playable stage after launch. The October 7 announcement calls Phoenix Cyclops the first DLC character, but does not identify the remaining three characters or give their release dates. The stage’s identity and timing have also not been announced in the official material cited here. PlayStation’s February 2026 announcement and the official game page confirm the pass contents, not a complete character-and-stage calendar.

What does the Year 1 Pass cost, and which editions include it?
The following are US storefront prices. PlayStation’s February 12, 2026 announcement gave the editions’ US suggested retail prices; the current US game page displays the same amounts. The separate pass is listed for $34.99 on the US PlayStation Store. Prices may vary by region and can change with sales.

Which platforms and controllers are listed?
PlayStation lists PS5 and PC versions, cross-play, and an August 6, 2026 US launch date. Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Korea had an August 7 launch date. The February announcement gives those platform and date details.

For players choosing an input device, the official FAQ says PS5-compatible arcade sticks and leverless controllers can be used. PC players are advised to check compatibility with their hardware setup; the FAQ does not endorse a particular model.
