Find it on a lower ledge in Stone Coffin Fissure, near Fissure Waypoint. It requires 28 Intelligence and 22 Faith, costs 41 FP per cast, and sends out a mass that explodes shortly after impact, raining ghostflame over the area.
Where to find Mass of Putrescence
The spell is loot in Stone Coffin Fissure, in Gravesite Plain. From Fissure Waypoint, head northeast, cross a small gap, then drop to the bridge-like platform area. Look for a lower ledge near the waypoint; the sorcery is found there. This route follows Game8’s guide; the location is also listed by the Elden Ring community reference.
Requirements and listed costs

|---|---|
| Intelligence | 28 |
| Faith | 22 |
| Arcane | 0 |
| FP per cast | 41 |

What the sorcery does
The spell throws a mass that bursts after a short delay, then rains ghostflame over the area. The reference describes both the initial mass and the ghostflame as dealing magic damage and building frost; charging increases the listed potency of both parts. Those detailed mechanics are reference-listed, so treat them as guidance rather than independently verified optimization data.
