If you want Xbox achievements that represent skill, exploration, or finishing a substantial game, start with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Its original list is approachable without being disposable, and TrueAchievements voters gave it a clean sweep of the 2025 achievement awards. For a longer prestige hunt, choose Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Rare Replay, or Sea of Thieves; for a structured 2026 challenge, Halo: Campaign Evolved is the clearest fit.
This is not a list of the fastest 1,000G games. It focuses on original achievement sets that ask you to learn systems, defeat demanding bosses, explore, collect thoughtfully, or complete a campaign on serious difficulty. Xbox’s Mythic Achievements, now live for console players, reinforce that distinction by rewarding completion of a game’s shipped list with a separate 0G badge.

What makes an Xbox achievement meaningful?
A meaningful list makes the achievement describe something you did in the game. The best examples connect rewards to campaign difficulty, boss mastery, exploration, creative restrictions, or understanding a system. A low completion percentage can signal ambition, but it is not enough by itself: a broken online mode or an endless service grind can be rare without being satisfying.
- It teaches the game. Halo skull combinations, Expedition 33’s parries, and Arc Raiders’ extraction objectives ask you to engage with mechanics rather than leave the game idle.
- The original set stands on its own. A shipped list should be completable without a battle pass or years of rotating content. Add-ons can be valuable, but they should not be required to prove you finished the core game.
- The challenge has a reason. A boss clear, no-death campaign, or carefully planned collectible route is more legible than an arbitrary lifetime counter.
- Players can name the moments they are proud of. TrueAchievements readers singled out Expedition 33’s Peace at Last and Feet Collection because each achievement reflects a memorable feat or discovery.
- It fits Mythic completion. Since Mythic status is tied to the original achievement set, the meaningful target is the list the game shipped with, not an ever-growing Gamerscore total.
How should you read TA Ratio, completion percentage and time?
TrueAchievement Ratio (TA Ratio) compares the Gamerscore value of an achievement to how many players have unlocked it. A lower ratio generally means an achievement is easier or more commonly earned, while higher ratios indicate tougher or rarer achievements. Use the non-DLC ratio when comparing games, because years of add-ons can make a living game look harder than its original design.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Completion rate and estimated hours add the context that a ratio lacks. Open Roads, for example, had 24,830 completions and a 65.3% completion rate in 2024 because its story list takes under an hour; that is an honest short game, not evidence of an empty achievement farm. At the other extreme, Elden Ring recorded 9,303 TrueAchievements completions in 2024 despite only 4.1% of players finishing. People will complete a difficult list when the game gives them a reason to care.
Do not treat the hardest table as a quality ranking. FragPunk’s non-DLC ratio was 23.56 and NBA 2K26’s was 16.15, but live-service friction, mode requirements, or a bugged achievement can create rarity without creating a good hunt.

1. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Expedition 33 is the strongest all-round answer because its list is tied to a complete, focused role-playing game and was celebrated by the achievement community. It won TrueAchievements Game of the Year 2025 with 17% of 8,000 votes, and Sean Carey wrote: "We can announce that it’s a clean sweep for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in all four of our achievement-related GOTY categories!" It also won ID@Xbox GOTY, Best Game Pass Addition, and Favorite TA Playlist Game of 2025, taking 32% of that community-event vote.
Its non-DLC TA Ratio is 1.84, which makes a full completion approachable rather than trivial. More than 22,000 TrueAchievements members unlocked an achievement during its August 2025 TA Playlist month, and the game received 32.8% of the 12 Days of Christmas community-event vote. Those figures show enthusiasm, not merely a large launch audience.
The standout achievements explain why the list works. Peace at Last asks you to defeat one of the game’s toughest bosses; The End was voted most fun; and Feet Collection requires all 44 of Monoco’s skills. Carey described Feet Collection as a strange-but-fun achievement made better by Monoco’s humor. The list rewards combat understanding, exploration and character building instead of idle repetition.
An Xbox Series X physical edition exists. DoesItPlay recorded a 42.7GB disc with version 1.0.1.0 on the disc, released 24 April 2025. GameSpot reported the standard Xbox edition around $50 in December 2025, while an Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition launched at $60; marketplace prices can move substantially. The game launched into Game Pass in April 2025, but current inclusion is region- and date-specific and should be checked before relying on a subscription.
2. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
MCC is the prestige catalog for players who want a multi-campaign project rather than a quick completion. Its 7,000G spans the original Halo games, playlists, skulls, difficulty clears and mastery tasks. LASO (Legendary All Skulls On) is the defining skill test, while playlist and terminal work turn the collection into a route-planning exercise.
TrueAchievements estimates 300–500 hours for the complete set. The time is justified by variety: campaign-specific challenges, cooperative requirements and precision play prevent the list from collapsing into one repetitive counter. Its physical Xbox release and Windows version also make it a durable project across devices.
3. Halo: Campaign Evolved
Campaign Evolved is the clearest example of a new list designed around meaningful milestones. The June 2026 Halo Waypoint list, reprinted by Pure Xbox, includes difficulty achievements worth 10G, 20G, 30G and 40G from Easy through Legendary, 39 skulls, and a 50G award for finding every skull and terminal.

Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
The capstones are unusually explicit: Fully Evolved is 50G for completing every achievement; MYTHIC is 50G for completing the campaign with LASO enabled; and a remixed-campaign no-death challenge is worth 40G. The structure gives you a sensible progression from story completion to collectibles to a mastery run. Halo Waypoint’s accompanying spirit is simple: "Enjoy the hunt!"
4. Rare Replay
Rare Replay turns a back catalog into a single achievement expedition. Its 4,000G list covers games with very different controls, eras and objectives, so progress depends on learning each title rather than repeating one efficient trick. The ratio of 6.99 and an estimated 200–300 hours place it firmly in prestige territory, and only 0.2% of tracked players had completed the full set in the 2026 catalog snapshot.
Some achievements are deep cuts that require understanding a specific Rare game; others ask for broad collection progress. That mixture is the appeal and the warning: use a per-game checklist and expect to switch genres often.
5. Sea of Thieves
Sea of Thieves maps achievements to the pirate loop: voyages, tall tales, commendation-style feats and difficult encounters. The original activities feel meaningful because they ask you to navigate, crew a ship and execute plans instead of merely accumulating kills.
The full catalog now contains years of add-ons, which is why the headline figures are extreme: 6,310G, a TA Ratio of 8.75, 0.0% completion and an estimate above 1,000 hours. Treat that as a living-world project, not a normal 1,000G completion. Mythic focuses on the original list, so later additions do not redefine the finish line.

6. Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon 5 is the approachable driving choice. Its achievements reward discovering roads and landmarks, collecting cars, completing events and engaging with seasonal systems. The game is generous compared with LASO, but it is not a five-minute list: TrueAchievements estimates 80–100 hours for the 3,000G set.
Its 4.5 community rating and 0.5% completion rate reflect a large, active game whose activities compete for players’ time. Xbox Excellence Awards 2025 listed Forza Horizon 5 among the titles standing out for daily activity, which helps explain why the list remains a long-running project rather than a static checklist.
7. Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 proves that a single 1,000G list can carry real weight. Story progress, missable activities, exploration, hunting and the online component make the route lengthy and easy to derail without planning. TrueAchievements estimates 200–300 hours, with a 0.6% completion rate and a 4.7 rating in its 2026 snapshot.
Use a missables guide before starting chapter-specific tasks, and keep separate saves when an achievement depends on a choice. The list is meaningful because it asks you to inhabit the game’s systems, not because the Gamerscore number is large.

8. Gears 5
Gears 5 is for players who want demanding combat, cooperative coordination and long-term mastery. Its 2,500G list reaches a 7.08 ratio, with 0.2% completion and an estimated 1,000-plus hours once the full catalog is considered. Difficulty, multiplayer and mode-specific requirements make this a serious commitment; choose it for the Gears challenge, not for efficient points.
9. Gears of War: E-Day
E-Day launched on 6 October 2026 with a platform-level statement about what completion means: a 0G Mythic achievement titled "The Lucky Ones Died on E-Day." The early catalog snapshot shows 1,000G, 35,593 TA from 14,064 gamers, a 35.59 ratio and 0.0% completion. That ratio is volatile because the game is new and the sample is small; do not compare it with mature lists as if the figure were settled.
The important design signal is the separate Mythic title. A player can pursue the campaign’s original achievements for the completion badge without needing the game to inflate its Gamerscore through later additions.
10. Ninja Gaiden 4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
These are skill-first recommendations for action-game specialists. In TrueAchievements’ 2025 hardest-list table, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black carried a 7.14 ratio and NINJA GAIDEN 4 a 5.83 ratio; both were noted as Game Pass titles at the time. Expect demanding combat, retries and execution checks rather than collectible padding.
11. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition
With a 7.00 TA Ratio in the same 2025 ranking and Game Pass availability at that time, Master Crafted Edition belongs on the hard-but-designed side of the spectrum. Its achievements are built around character-action combat and campaign performance. Service availability can change, so verify the current catalog before choosing a subscription-only route.
12. Arc Raiders
Arc Raiders has 50 achievements worth 1,000G, including seven secret achievements. Kes Eylers-Stephenson called it "a nice, well-rounded list that isn’t just predicated on "win and kill" like, for example, Battlefield 6’s Redsec achievements." The named objectives show the range: Escape Artist requires 100 safe returns to Speranza for 80G; Legend of Speranza asks you to reach level 75 for 80G; A Tale for the Ages requires destroying the Queen for 80G; and Heart of Gold asks to be thanked 10 times for 10G.
Those goals teach the extraction loop, but live-service games can hide grind behind future seasons. Judge the original 1,000G set first, then decide whether ongoing content is worth your time. Xbox Excellence Awards 2025 included Arc Raiders among games recognized for daily active users and units sold; the broader awards covered 55 games, 16 on Game Pass, 48 unique developers, 13 countries, 24 publishers and 19 self-published games.
13. Elden Ring
Elden Ring is the longevity pick: a difficult list that players finish because the world and build experimentation keep pulling them forward. Its 9,303 TrueAchievements completions in 2024, despite a 4.1% player completion rate, are a useful counterexample to the idea that meaningful must mean unpopular. The list rewards bosses, endings, exploration and discovery; it does not need an inflated score to feel prestigious.
Which shorter games are approachable without being shovelware?
Some narrative games have low or moderate ratios because they are complete, well-paced experiences, not because they are idle loops. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (1.24), ENDER MAGNOLIA (1.37), DOOM: The Dark Ages (1.82), Assassin’s Creed Shadows (1.84) and Split Fiction (1.85) are reasonable choices when you want a finite campaign and a credible completion.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
That distinction matters. A low ratio can mean a game is welcoming and widely finished, as with Expedition 33, or that the list is nearly empty. Look at the activities behind the achievements and the number of players who actually completed the game.
How do Mythic Achievements change the goal?
Mythic status is Xbox’s completion badge, worth 0 Gamerscore and tracked separately from the leaderboard. Xbox Insider rollout began on 29 September 2026; TrueAchievements reported the feature live for all Xbox One and Series X|S console players on 29 October 2026.
The rule is simple: "completing all of a game’s original achievements earns you a Mythic Achievement." Add-on and DLC achievements are labeled separately and do not block the badge. A progress bar appears at the top of a game’s achievement list, and you can filter to original achievements to see the exact finish line. Mythic awards are retroactive: Lee Brady reported, "You’ll retroactively be awarded Mythics for all of the base game lists you’ve already completed on your profile, and it even counts Xbox 360 and Windows Phone games you’ve finished."

As recap.games put it, "Unlike simply reaching a particular Gamerscore total, Mythic status is tied to completing the original achievement set for an individual game." Beebom described the badge as "basically Xbox’s answer to a PlayStation Platinum Trophy."
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why are triple-stack and easy-Gamerscore lists the wrong fit?
A triple stack gives separate Xbox One, Series and Windows lists to an identical game. Ports with genuine technical differences can be legitimate, but low-effort duplicates created a market for instant points. TrueAchievements counted 37 triple-stack games in 2024, exploding to 246 in 2025 — TrueAchievements, 2026. That represented 738 individual triple-stack releases across three platforms in 2025 — TrueAchievements, 2026 — and roughly 2.3 million Gamerscore from triple stacks in 2025, including DLC and title updates — TrueAchievements, 2026.
The October 2026 report counted 233 triple stacks / 699 individual releases in 2026 (as of the October 2026 report) — TrueAchievements, 2026. Games typically launch with 1,000G; some title updates raise that to 2,000G, later to 5,000G per version — TrueAchievements, 2026. Xbox told developers that releasing identical games that "don’t provide distinct experiences" will violate section 10.1 Distinct Function & Value; Accurate Representation of Microsoft Store policy. Sean Carey called the change "an absolutely massive and long-overdue change to the Xbox achievements ecosystem" and said it should curb Gamerscore inflation and help clean up the Xbox Store.
This is the ecosystem behind lists such as Crime Opera Fandisk: The Caterpillar Candids (1.00), Hidden Kittens: Kingdom of Cats (1.01), Shy Cats Hidden Tracks Vol. 2 (1.02), Card Storm Idle (1.02), Idle Wizard (1.05), Hidden Cats in Rio de Janeiro (1.05) and Astro Miner (1.08). They may increase a profile total quickly, but they do not provide the kind of game-linked accomplishment this guide is ranking.

Which difficult lists should you avoid?
High rarity is not automatically meaningful. FragPunk’s 23.56 ratio and NBA 2K26’s 16.15 ratio can reflect live-service requirements, mode friction or a bug rather than a well-designed hunt. Sports and competitive-service lists can also become impossible or dramatically longer when servers, rosters or seasonal systems change.
- Skip lists whose achievements are mostly opening an app, colouring, finding a handful of obvious objects or waiting through an idle loop.
- Be wary of duplicate Xbox One, Series and Windows releases with identical lists and no distinct experience.
- Separate the original 1,000G from later title updates before committing to a live-service completion.
- Check whether an apparently hard achievement is bugged, server-dependent or tied to a mode the developer can retire.
How should you plan a meaningful completion?
- Choose the original list first. Open the game’s achievement page and filter out add-ons. Set Mythic completion as the finish line, then treat DLC as optional.
- Read the missable warnings. Story-flag achievements in Red Dead Redemption 2 and similar games can require an earlier save or a separate playthrough.
- Separate skill, grind and collectibles. Schedule practice for LASO, parries or high-difficulty bosses; use a checklist for skulls and terminals; decide in advance whether a lifetime counter is acceptable.
- Estimate the time honestly. A 300-hour catalog is a different hobby from an 80-hour driving list. Do not start a 1,000-plus-hour service game expecting a weekend completion.
- Verify access before starting. Game Pass catalogs are regional and change over time. If a physical copy matters, confirm the edition and disc data; for Expedition 33, the standard Xbox disc and Mirror Edition are separate products.
- Track updates without letting them move the goalposts. A title update may add Gamerscore, but it does not change the original-list Mythic target.

Does buying DLC ever prevent a Mythic Achievement?
No. Add-on and DLC achievements are separated from the original set, so they do not block Mythic. You can finish the shipped list first and return to expansions only if you want the extra challenges.

Is a low TA Ratio always a sign of an easy, worthless game?
No. Ratio measures rarity, not design quality. A low figure can describe a short narrative game that most players finish, while the same figure on an idle list can reflect almost no gameplay; inspect the achievement requirements and completion context.
Can a Game Pass game remain a good long-term completion project?
Yes, provided you confirm its current availability and understand that access can change by region and date. For a multi-month hunt, owning the game or having a backup purchase plan avoids a catalog removal interrupting your route.
Why did a new game such as E-Day show an extreme TA Ratio?
Early ratios are calculated from a small, uneven population. As more players unlock ordinary achievements, the ratio can move sharply, so treat an early snapshot as provisional rather than a settled difficulty ranking.
Do Xbox 360 games receive Mythic credit?
Completed Xbox 360 lists are included in the retroactive rollout, according to TrueAchievements’ launch report. Original Xbox discs are a different case: achievement tiles for some original Xbox content were still appearing as 0/0 in late October 2026, so do not assume an older disc currently supplies Gamerscore.
