MEGATON MUSASHI W: WIRED launched digitally in April 2024, and LEVEL5 has documented multiple updates since then. However, the official pages cited here do not confirm that more content is still planned. The game is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam, with cross-play and cross-save support listed by LEVEL5.
Is MEGATON MUSASHI W: WIRED still getting updates?
The original “more content to come” wording reflects the game’s 2024 launch period, not a confirmed current roadmap. LEVEL5’s patch-note index lists updates through Version 3.2.3, released December 25, 2024, for Switch, PS5, PS4, and Steam. The official site also lists later operational notices, including notices dated October 2025. Those notices show continued service-related activity, but do not establish that another content update is forthcoming.

What kind of game is it?
LEVEL5 describes MEGATON MUSASHI W: WIRED as a robot action RPG. Players pilot giant mechs called Rogues and fight an invading alien force. The story primarily follows Yamato and includes scenes not shown in the anime.

The core play loop is mission-based: defeat enemies, collect Rogue parts and weapons, then upgrade or customize your mech. The game also offers online cooperative missions and team-versus-team battles, as well as local wireless co-op on Switch. Nintendo’s US listing specifies co-op for up to three players and online play for up to six.
Platforms, release date, and editions
The game launched digitally in April 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. LEVEL5 lists April 25, 2024, while Nintendo’s US store and Steam list April 24. The one-day difference reflects the listings; consult the relevant storefront for the date associated with your region.

LEVEL5 describes both editions as digital-only. The Deluxe Edition’s listed extras include limited-edition Rogues, weapons, pilot attire, a victory pose, Premium Pass rewards, and a digital artbook. What content and collaborations are in the game?
Alongside its missions and mech customization, the game includes collaborations with classic super-robot series. Nintendo names Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Combattler V, and Voltes V; LEVEL5’s homepage also highlights a Grendizer collaboration. These are in-game collaboration contents, not evidence of a separate physical product.

LEVEL5 also announced international streaming availability for the companion anime on Crunchyroll. That announcement does not confirm the anime’s current catalog availability in every country; check Crunchyroll’s local catalog before planning to watch.
