Melty is a free Windows launcher from Stella Montis Inc. that turns community-made game mashups into a one-button launch process. Choose a mashup, press Play, and Melty downloads the mashup, installs its requirements, and starts the host game. The catch is licensing: Melty does not provide the commercial games being combined. You must already own every base game used by the mashup, or Melty directs you to that game’s store.
What Melty does
Melty presents combinations of games you already have in a single catalog. Its landing page describes the service as a Windows launcher for merging existing titles, with examples such as SkyCraft, Elden Craft, Super Mario Ring, Skate Warfare, Portal Life and Spartan Warfare.

The documented flow is deliberately simple: install the Melty app, browse the mashup catalog, press Play, then share an invite link for supported multiplayer mashups or publish a mashup of your own. Melty and the mashup packages are described as free, but that does not remove the cost of the underlying games.

Melty’s usage guide states: “Mashups run on games you own. If you are missing one, Melty sends you to its store.” In practical terms, you need three things:

- A Windows PC capable of running the Melty app and the host game.
- The Melty launcher.
- A valid license for each base game required by the selected mashup.
For example, choosing Elden Craft requires both Minecraft and Elden Ring. If either title is absent from your library, the one-click setup stops at the ownership check; you still have to obtain the missing game through its normal store. Melty is therefore a setup shortcut, not a way to play commercial games without buying them.

The catalog is changeable, so these entries should be treated as the currently highlighted examples rather than a permanent list. Availability can also depend on the platform and edition of each base game.

How to launch a mashup
- Install Melty on a Windows PC.
- Open the catalog and select a mashup.
- Check that you own every base game named on the mashup page.
- Press Play. Melty downloads the mashup, installs what it needs and starts the host game.
- For a supported multiplayer mashup, use the generated invite link to bring in other players.
If a required game is missing, follow the store link supplied by Melty, install or claim that title through its ordinary storefront, then return to the launcher and retry.

How the AI creation workflow works
Melty uses “AI game merging” in two ways: joining existing library titles in one play session, or asking an agent to create and publish a new merge. The documented creation path names Claude Code and Codex. You copy Melty’s instructions into one of those agents, describe the mashup you want, and let the agent build and publish it through Melty’s workflow.

This is an agent-assisted mod or integration process, not a promise that an AI can independently recreate a complete commercial game. The resulting mashup still depends on the original games and their licenses.
Safety and reversibility claims
Melty says uploaded files are checked for dangerous content and provides a way to report suspicious mashups. It also says uninstalling restores modified files. Those are statements from the vendor; no independent malware audit or restoration test was identified, so users should treat them as assurances rather than verified guarantees.

What Melty does not establish yet
The available product material does not provide independent performance benchmarks, a malware audit, user-count data or a named statistical study. It also does not establish support for operating systems other than Windows. Before installing, verify the current mashup page, required game editions, platform requirements and any multiplayer notes, because catalog entries and integrations can change.
