Minecraft’s official pages reviewed as of October 7, 2026 do not list another way to claim it or announce a return. The cape was a promotional cosmetic, not an item crafted from copper.
Can you still get the Copper Cape?
No—not through the promotion’s published methods. The event’s participation window and code-redemption deadline have both passed. The continuing availability of the Copper Age game update does not reopen the cape quest.
If you earned the cape during the event but cannot find it, contact Minecraft Support. The official promotion information does not establish a current recovery procedure, so repeating an expired challenge is not a supported fix.
How players could earn it during the 2025 event
Minecraft’s official Copper Cape Quest instructions offered three routes. These are historical steps, not active ways to claim the cape.

| Route | Platform or requirement | What players did | Timing and code handling |
|---|---|---|---|
| Statue challenge | Bedrock Edition | Picked up and placed a copper golem statue in a Bedrock world. | The final challenge ran October 13–20, 2025. The instructions said the reward would be sent within 30 days after the promotion ended; this route did not use a code. |
| WatchTime Quest | TikTok stream with Game Rewards enabled, or a Minecraft-category Twitch stream from a Partner or Affiliate channel | Watched at least 3 minutes on TikTok or at least 5 minutes on Twitch to receive a code. | Codes had to be redeemed at minecraft.net/redeem by November 19, 2025. |
| TwitchCon code | In person at TwitchCon in San Diego | Claimed a code at the Minecraft booth. | TwitchCon took place October 17–19, 2025; codes had to be redeemed by November 19, 2025. |
The official terms described eligibility as requiring Minecraft: Bedrock Edition or Minecraft: Java Edition, which are sold separately, and limited the reward to one cape per person/account. That overall eligibility did not make the statue-placement route available on Java: that particular challenge required Bedrock.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the Copper Age update include a new way to get the cape?
No. The Copper Age game drop is available in both Bedrock and Java and adds gameplay features such as copper golems, copper chests, copper equipment, and shelves. The official Copper Age update overview does not describe a new Copper Cape claim opportunity. Mojang’s Bedrock 1.21.111 release notes, posted September 30, 2025, describe copper golem and statue mechanics as update features, not as a currently open cape promotion.
