San Diego Studio announced March 18, 2025, as the release date for MLB The Show 25. That date has passed. The game was announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. PlayStation’s January 28, 2025 cover announcement and MLB’s report published the same day confirmed the date and platforms.

Who is on the MLB The Show 25 cover?
The cover features Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz, and Baltimore Orioles infielder Gunnar Henderson. It was the first MLB The Show cover to feature more than one player, and the 2025 game marked the franchise’s 20th anniversary, according to the official reveal.
What was announced about preorders and the physical edition?
MLB said preorders would begin February 4, 2025, at 9 a.m. ET through TheShow.com and in stores. That is historical preorder information, not confirmation of current availability.

PlayStation also described a limited Topps card offer for qualifying physical Standard Edition purchases, while supplies lasted.
