Time to Crate unlocks when you open all 26 Yellow Supply Crates in Mission 10, Stranded, in Modern Warfare 4. The mission counter must reach SUPPLY CACHE 26/26; the achievement should trigger after the final cache, although the notification can take a moment to appear.
What the Time to Crate achievement requires
The trophy condition is straightforward: open every Yellow Supply Crate in Mission 10, “Stranded.” Current achievement guides identify 26 crates in the mission. You do not need to complete the campaign on Realism, collect every note, or satisfy a separate score or time requirement. The only condition is opening all 26 caches.

Use the on-screen supply-cache counter as your definitive progress check. After the last crate opens, it should read SUPPLY CACHE 26/26. iTechGuides Team’s 2026 guide says the Time to Crate unlock follows that final update. If the counter is still 25/26 or lower, the achievement requirement is not complete, even if you believe you searched the entire mission.

How many crates are in Stranded?
There are 26 Yellow Supply Crates in Stranded. The current breakdown is 24 fixed caches, one cache on a moving train, and one cache in a patrol-convoy truck.

The two mobile caches explain most apparent discrepancies between a route that looks complete and a counter stuck below 26. A sweep of every building can still miss the train and convoy-truck crates.
Where Stranded fits in the campaign
Stranded is Mission 10 of the Modern Warfare 4 campaign. Start that mission from the normal campaign flow, or use Mission Select after you have finished the story. The achievement is tied to the mission, not to a particular campaign difficulty.

Time to Crate is separate from the Realism campaign-completion achievement. You can collect the Yellow Supply Crates on a lower difficulty and still earn Time to Crate. The Realism achievement requires completing the campaign once on another difficulty; opening the crates does not substitute for that completion.

Notes are a separate collectible objective
Stranded contains 58 notes, according to AFK Times’ 2026 collectible coverage, while the full campaign contains 64 notes. Reading 50 different notes is tied to the separate Noteworthy achievement. Notes do not count toward the 26-crate total, and opening every crate does not award Noteworthy by itself.
AFK Times lists 18 campaign achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore overall. That campaign-wide figure is context only; Time to Crate still has the single condition of opening all 26 Yellow Supply Crates.
Choose a route before you begin
There are two sensible ways to organize the sweep. Your choice depends on whether you want the least backtracking or prefer to remove the two time-sensitive caches immediately.

For a first attempt, fixed-first is usually easier to audit: the 24 stationary caches are less likely to disappear while you check them. If you are replaying specifically for one missing item, mobile-first can be faster because it immediately tests the two exceptions most often overlooked.

Step-by-step method for a complete sweep
1. Start Mission 10, Stranded
Launch Stranded through the campaign or Mission Select. Before moving quickly through objectives, decide whether you are collecting crates only or combining the run with notes. Combining collectibles is efficient, but it makes the route harder to audit because notes and crates use different totals.
2. Watch the supply-cache counter
Keep the mission’s supply-cache display visible whenever the game shows it. Record your starting number and check it after each group of locations. The goal is not an estimate based on rooms visited; it is the exact 26/26 counter.
3. Clear the 24 fixed caches
Search the stationary locations methodically. Include buildings that are easy to pass during the main objective path and any locked buildings that become accessible during the mission. Open the crate itself rather than merely entering the room or seeing it through a doorway. After each cluster, verify that the counter increased.

- Pay special attention to locked buildings when their access becomes available.
- Use the counter to mark confirmed progress instead of relying on memory.
4. Deliberately take the train cache
The train cache is one of the two mobile exceptions. Do not assume that clearing the surrounding area counts it. Watch for the moving train, position yourself to reach it, and open the Yellow Supply Crate on board. Confirm that the supply-cache total rises before leaving the area. If the opportunity passes, use mission replay rather than guessing that the crate registered.

5. Deliberately take the convoy-truck cache
The second mobile exception is carried by a patrol convoy truck. Track the convoy long enough to access and open its Yellow Supply Crate. A stationary search of buildings cannot award this cache. Check the counter immediately afterward so you know the truck crate registered.
6. Confirm 26/26 before exiting
Do not end the mission based on a visual sweep alone. The required state is SUPPLY CACHE 26/26. If the display shows 24/26 or 25/26, continue searching; if it shows 26/26, remain in the mission briefly so the completion state can settle.
7. Allow the unlock to register
The current guide advice is to allow the mission state to settle after the last cache opens. The achievement notification should follow the 26/26 update, but a short delay does not necessarily mean the run failed. Avoid immediately quitting at the instant the final crate opens.
What to do if you are stuck at 25/26
A 25/26 counter means one crate has not been credited. Do not restart randomly; use the counter to narrow the search. The most efficient diagnostic order is:

- Confirm whether you opened the train cache. It is easy to confuse passing the train or searching the trackside area with opening the crate.
- Confirm whether you opened the convoy-truck cache. The truck’s movement makes it the other common omission.
- Recheck fixed locations, including locked buildings and side rooms, using a written checklist.
- Open each suspected crate again only if the game presents it as unopened; then verify that the counter changes.
- If the counter remains below 26, leave the mission through a controlled replay and perform a complete sweep rather than relying on partial recollection.
If the counter reaches 26/26 but the notification is delayed, stay in the mission for a short period and let the state update. The achievement condition is the completed counter, not the speed at which the pop-up appears.
Can you replay Stranded for a missing crate?
Yes. PowerPyx and other current guides state that missed crates can be cleaned up through mission replay or Mission Select after the story. This makes Time to Crate recoverable if your original campaign run ended with an incomplete count.
For a cleanup run, note the number shown when you enter Stranded, then follow a deliberate route. If you know one cache is missing, check the train and convoy first before revisiting every fixed location. If you do not know which one was missed, use the fixed-first method and verify the counter after each group. Finish only when the display reaches 26/26.

Stranded’s 58 notes make it a logical mission for a combined collectible run, especially if you also want Noteworthy. The objectives are independent: a note does not count as a supply cache, and a crate does not count as one of the 50 different notes required for Noteworthy.
If efficiency matters more than route simplicity, carry one checklist for crates and another for notes. Mark each category separately and use the supply-cache counter as the final authority for Time to Crate. If you prefer a low-risk achievement run, collect the 26 crates first and replay later for notes; this prevents a long collectible sweep from obscuring which crate was missed.
Access and edition considerations
You need access to Modern Warfare 4 and its campaign to play Stranded. Retail listings referenced by iTechGuides include Standard Edition digital-code options for PS5 and Xbox/Windows, but availability, region, platform compatibility, price, and stock can change. Verify that any copy you use includes the campaign and supports your platform before purchase. No special controller, headset, subscription, or repair utility is part of the achievement requirement.
Time to Crate completion checklist
- Launch Mission 10, Stranded.
- Open all 24 fixed Yellow Supply Crates.
- Open the Yellow Supply Crate on the moving train.
- Open the Yellow Supply Crate in the patrol convoy truck.
- Check for SUPPLY CACHE 26/26.
- Wait briefly for the mission state and achievement notification to register.
- If the count is lower, replay Stranded or use Mission Select and repeat the sweep.
The practical verdict
Time to Crate is a 26-cache checklist in Mission 10, Stranded—not a Realism challenge and not a timed speedrun. Clear the 24 fixed locations, deliberately secure the train and convoy-truck caches, and use the in-game counter to confirm 26/26. Once that number appears, the achievement should unlock; if it does not appear immediately, let the mission settle before replaying.
