Players earned milestone points by landing on board tiles marked with the event icon. Third-party guides report rewards including dice, pickaxes, sticker packs, cash, and a board token, but disagree on the total dice payout, and a complete verified milestone-by-milestone table is not available.
When did Spreading the Joy run?
EZG and SuperCheats both report that the event began on December 5, 2024, at 12 p.m. Eastern and ended on December 7 at 10 a.m. Eastern. EZG’s event guide and SuperCheats’ milestone guide agree on those hours.

There is a conflicting listing: Pocket Tactics, updated December 6, 2024, gives an end time of December 4 at 1 p.m. ET, which does not align with the other two guides or the stated update date. The shared December 7 end time is the better-supported schedule, though the discrepancy means the exact historical timing is not perfectly consistent across guides. Pocket Tactics’ listing contains the conflicting time.

Spreading the Joy was a single-player pickup-style milestone event. Players rolled around the board and earned event points by landing on tiles marked with the Spreading the Joy icon. The points advanced progress through the event’s reward milestones.
#1 Best Overall
- INSPIRED BY THE #1 MOBILE BOARD GAME: Play the Monopoly GO! game IRL with friends and family! This Monopoly GO! game offers the addictive fun of the #1 mobile board game of 2023 in a tabletop version
- SIMULTANEOUS FUN IN FAST-PACED ROUNDS: In each round, players roll dice and everyone moves their token around their own mini board at the same time. Each quick-playing game is about 15 minutes
- RACE TO BUILD A LANDMARK: There’s no money. Instead, whenever players land on a color space, they place that matching-colored landmark block on their board. Be the first to stack 4 matching-colored blocks to win
- PULL OFF BANK HEISTS AND SHUT DOWNS: Make mischief with Bank Heists and activate Shut Downs to sabotage rivals! And unlike in the app, players can see their opponents’ reactions
- 8 EXCITING LOCATIONS: Choose from 4 double-sided mini gameboards with real and imagined locations, such as New York City, the Roaring 20s, and Unicorn Land
The dice multiplier affected how many points a successful event-tile landing earned. A higher multiplier could increase points from a landing, but it also used more dice and could deplete a player’s supply faster. EZG describes this trade-off; it does not establish one multiplier as the best choice for every player or board position.
What rewards did the event offer?
Event guides list dice, sticker packs, cash, pickaxes for the Holiday Treasures minigame, and a board token among the rewards. The sources do not establish a complete, independently verified reward for every milestone, so a full 50-row schedule cannot be confirmed here.

SuperCheats reports 50 milestones, 174 pickaxes, 35,095 points needed to finish, and a total of 15,675 dice. EZG also reports 50 milestones and 15,675 dice. Those are third-party guide figures, not totals published in an official event-specific reward table.
The dice total is disputed: GameLeap reports 18,475 dice rather than 15,675, while also listing 174 pickaxes. The available sources do not resolve which dice total is correct, so neither figure should be treated as a confirmed universal payout. GameLeap’s guide gives the higher total.

How does this event relate to Jingle Joy?
Spreading the Joy took place during the Jingle Joy season, but its milestone rewards should not be confused with the rewards for completing the season’s sticker album. In its official seasonal announcement, Monopoly GO said completing Jingle Joy could award 10,000 rolls, a Santa Token, and cash. That is album-completion context, not the reward schedule for Spreading the Joy. The official Jingle Joy announcement does not provide Spreading the Joy’s milestone table.
