The Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 crossover was confirmed in 2025—not a new or upcoming team-up. Wilds received Street Fighter-themed missions and Akuma content beginning May 28, 2025, and Street Fighter 6 later hosted a reciprocal Monster Hunter event. The announcements establish what each game received, but not whether the event content is still available in October 2026.
What came to Monster Hunter Wilds?
Capcom announced the Wilds collaboration on May 23, 2025, with availability set for May 28. Its central feature was a set of special missions that awarded materials for collaboration equipment and other rewards. Capcom USA’s Joseph Bustos described the missions as a way to “obtain materials needed to forge collaboration equipment and rewards.” Xbox Wire’s May 23 announcement also outlined Street Fighter-inspired actions and the Drive Impact system’s representation in Wilds.

Akuma equipment and actions
Akuma’s full armor set or layered armor enabled collaboration items, gestures, and actions, including Assisted Combo: Akuma and Gou Hadoken. These features brought Street Fighter 6-style combat flourishes into Wilds; they were part of the game crossover, not physical merchandise.

Launch-era access requirements
Capcom’s May 28 announcement specified that hunters needed HR 21 or higher and Wilds version 1.011. Eligible players could take side missions from Quinn at the Azuz base camp in the Oilwell Basin. Those are the requirements stated for the event’s launch period, not confirmation of present-day access or scheduling. Capcom’s Wilds collaboration announcement has the event details.
#1 Best Overall
- Wild New Adventure – Monster Hunter Wilds follows the story of a special Research Commission investigating the Forbidden Lands. Fully voiced for the first time in the series, the hunter is joined in their journey by a colorful cast of characters, including a Palico partner, Guild-appointed Handler Alma, trusty smithy Gemma, and the mysterious child Nata. Together, the team ventures into an unexplored new frontier where surprises await around every corner.
- A Living World – The Forbidden Lands spans multiple biomes with dynamic identities, such as the Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest, where the ecosystems shift between vibrant seasons brimming with life, and unforgiving climates where monsters fight over limited resources. Changes in the landscape will impact the creatures that live there and push hunters to adapt as well.
- New Monsters and Wildlife – Monster Hunter Wilds features a variety of new creatures, ranging from herds of small species to large monsters – some of which roam the Forbidden Lands in packs. Every creature hunters encounter in the wild has carved out a special place in its habitat and possesses unique attacks and behaviors.
- Players can also now ride atop the Seikret, an agile new mount enabling hunters to traverse difficult terrain, perform actions like sharpening weapons on the move, and switch between two weapons while out on hunts!
- Evolved Hunting Action – The series’ acclaimed action-packed gameplay is back and more exciting than ever! Hunters can look forward to tracking down monsters with an array of new moves, special abilities, equipment, and more. The action also now flows seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, resulting in a new level of immersion.
Which Wilds items were mission rewards, and which were paid DLC?
Capcom listed optional paid digital add-ons separately from the special-mission rewards. The announced DLC included Chun-Li and Cammy outfits for Alma; Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku gestures; a Street Fighter 6 sticker set; and a Blanka-Chan Doll pendant. These were digital cosmetics and extras, not physical crossover goods.
What did Street Fighter 6 receive?
The official Street Fighter channel announced the reciprocal Street Fighter 6 x Monster Hunter Wilds event on August 28, 2025. Its trailer description listed several event features, but did not provide complete event dates or an end date. The official announcement trailer described:
- Special collaboration items for players who logged in during the event period.
- Monster-inspired EX colors for Blanka, Akuma, Manon, Cammy, and Ken in the shop.
- A Monster Hunter-themed Battle Hub and a Street Voter event.
- The return of the Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Fighting Pass.
How the two sides of the crossover differed
| Game hosting the event | Announced content |
|---|---|
| Monster Hunter Wilds | Special missions, collaboration materials and equipment, Akuma-themed actions, and separate paid digital add-ons. |
| Street Fighter 6 | Login items, Monster-inspired EX colors, Battle Hub changes, a Street Voter event, and a returning Fighting Pass. |
The announcements describe different kinds of content in each game. They do not establish current availability or provide enough verified information to compare the events’ exact durations.

The cited announcements document the 2025 events, but do not establish whether either game’s crossover content can still be accessed in October 2026. In particular, the Street Fighter 6 announcement excerpt does not give a complete event schedule. Check the relevant in-game event listings or official Capcom channels for current availability rather than treating the original launch details as a current schedule.

Is there a physical Monster Hunter Wilds crossover item?
The announced Wilds DLC consists of digital content. The verified product reference relevant to a physical purchase is the base game, Monster Hunter Wilds, rather than a crossover collectible. Capcom’s Japan-specific release listing says the game launched February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, and identifies a packaged PS5 edition. Its listed suggested prices—¥9,990 for the PS5 packaged edition and ¥9,900 for the download edition—were historical Japan-market prices, not current or universal prices. Capcom’s Japan-market release listing gives those details.
No specific physical crossover collectible is established by the announcements cited here. If purchasing the base game, check regional stock, edition, and current pricing with the retailer.

How popular was Monster Hunter Wilds at launch?
Capcom reported 10 million Monster Hunter Wilds units sold worldwide as of March 31, 2025. That is the publisher’s dated sales total, not a current lifetime figure. Capcom’s March 31, 2025 release states the figure.
