- Doshaguma: A territorial Fanged Beast with a broad habitat range; the trailer’s accompanying description noted that it may appear in packs.
- Chatacabra: An amphibian that uses adhesive saliva to attach ore and other materials to its forelegs.
- Ceratonoth: A herbivore whose males use their dorsal horns to catch and ground lightning, protecting nearby females.
- Dalthydon: A herbivorous wyvern that changes habitat with the seasons and may defend itself with its head shell.
Where does the trailer take place?
The footage centers on the Windward Plains, the first locale the research team explores in the Forbidden Lands. Its deserts, grasslands, and rock formations sit within a world shaped by changing environmental conditions. Capcom described the game’s theme as “the living world”: people, organisms, and monsters act according to their own motivations, while shifting conditions affect the ecosystem.
What gameplay systems did Capcom show?
Seikret mount
The Seikret is a rideable mount that can travel toward destinations selected on the map. Hunters can use some items and gather while moving, and can access or switch to a secondary weapon without returning to base.

Who appears in the story details?
The announcement introduced the Forbidden Lands Research Commission and characters Alma, Gemma, and Nata. Capcom also said the player-created hunter has fully voiced dialogue, a first for the series, and that the Palico speaks the same language as humans.

- Hunt giant nature-infused bests – Survive their attacks, learn from their behaviors, and use your Karakuri and your weapons in combination to cut these creatures down to size.
- Craft your hunting grounds – You are the only one in Azuma able to wield the Karakuri technology.
- Hunt in a pack, or be a lone wolf – In WILD HEARTS you can face the Kemono alone or unite with up to two friends (or other players) to stalk and hunt your prey.
- Gear up to hunt, hunt to gear up – Create your character, then gather materials from each hunt and build an array of armor and weapons.
When and where can you play Monster Hunter Wilds?
Capcom set the release date as February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and described cross-play across game platforms. The announcement’s details are therefore historical trailer information, not a preview of an upcoming launch. PlayStation’s current game page lists four-player online co-op for PS Plus members; that membership condition is specific to PlayStation, and platform terms can change.

Capcom reported on March 31, 2025, that Monster Hunter Wilds had sold more than 10 million units worldwide, calling it the company’s first-month sales record. That is a dated first-month milestone, not a current lifetime total. Separately, Capcom reported that the Monster Hunter series had cumulative sales exceeding 103 million as of June 30, 2024; that figure covers the series, not Wilds alone.
