Availability and prices outside the United States can differ. Japanese storefront launch timing and yen pricing are not US purchase terms, and the US date should not be silently applied to every region.
Is Moonlight Peaks multiplayer on PS5?
No multiplayer mode is advertised for the announced PS5 edition. The US PlayStation Store lists 1 player, which is the platform-specific information to rely on before launch. Three different save features are easy to confuse. The announced PS Plus Premium trial, Sony’s PS5 cloud-storage tools, and Steam Cloud are separate systems, and none should be treated as proof of universal cross-save.
What carries from the PS Plus Premium trial?
XSEED has announced a two-hour PS Plus Premium trial beginning with the PS5 launch. Progress made during that trial is intended to carry into the purchased PS5 game, so buying the full edition on the same PlayStation account should let you continue rather than restart. What does PS Plus cloud storage do?
Sony’s PS5 cloud-save service backs up and synchronizes saved data between compatible PlayStation consoles using the same account. Sony’s support guidance says automatic synchronization can occur when you close a game or put the console in rest mode, provided automatic updates, internet access in rest mode, and automatic save-data synchronization are enabled. You can also manage uploads and downloads under Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings.
This is same-platform PlayStation storage. It does not show that a save from Steam, Nintendo Switch, or Google Play Games will import into the PS5 edition.
Can I transfer a Steam save to PS5?
There is no confirmed PC-to-PS5 cross-save or migration feature in the announced material. Steam Cloud can synchronize saves among supported PC installations, but it does not establish compatibility with PlayStation saves. Until the developer publishes a transfer procedure, assume that a PC save will remain on PC.
What has the developer said about save safety?
Little Chicken Game Company’s October 6, 2026 patch notes for earlier-platform versions state: “Loading a save file successfully now stores a backup.” That is an additional safeguard described for those versions, not a verified description of the unreleased PS5 build. Does Moonlight Peaks run at 60 fps or a specific resolution on PS5?
No defensible PS5 frame-rate or resolution figure has been published yet. XSEED says the PS5 release will include quality-of-life improvements introduced on earlier platforms, but that promise is not a measured PS5 performance result. There is no confirmed 60 fps mode, resolution target, PS5 Pro enhancement, sustained frame-rate figure, or loading-time measurement in the announced official material.

Patch 1.3.9 for existing versions lists several performance-related fixes:
- Reduced performance impact when obtaining many items.
- Reduced performance impact when growing many Weeping Wicca crops.
- A fix for a frame-rate drop associated with an interaction.
Those notes document changes to earlier-platform software. They do not prove that every issue is gone on PS5 or predict how the console version will behave in every area. Performance claims should be revisited after launch using PS5-specific measurements or a new official specification.
What PS5 controls and DualSense features are confirmed?
The store listing confirms DualSense vibration function support. That is the complete PS5-specific controller feature currently stated in the listing; it does not confirm adaptive triggers, touchpad actions, motion controls, speaker use, or a particular vibration pattern.
Earlier-platform patch notes mention corrected Xbox and PlayStation DualSense button labels in controller tooltips. They do not publish a PS5 button-by-button map, an in-game remapping menu, accessibility presets, or whether every action can be reassigned. If remapping is important to you, wait for the final PS5 settings documentation or check the released options menu rather than assuming that a standard DualSense layout can be changed.
A standard DualSense wireless controller is sufficient for the announced single-player mode. An additional controller is optional and does not unlock co-op. PlayStation’s listing confirms vibration, while Sony’s ordinary DualSense hardware is the relevant controller category.
Is there a PS5 demo, and how does the Premium trial differ?

Staying on PC is safer if your existing save is important and you need a confirmed Steam-based workflow, because no PlayStation migration path has been announced. The unanswered points are narrower than the confirmed basics. The release date, US price, digital format, one-player designation, DualSense vibration, and Premium-trial carry-over are announced. The following still require a later official statement or post-launch verification:
- Native resolution and sustained frame rate on PS5.
