PokéBeach reported on November 25, 2025, that Japan’s MEGA Dream ex Secret Rares included Mega Gengar ex, Mega Dragonite ex and Tera Pikachu ex. The report said the Japanese cards were expected in the English Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion. The English set is now available, but it is not simply a translated version of MEGA Dream ex: it also draws cards from Japan’s Start Deck 100 Battle Collection.
Which Japanese Secret Rares were reported?
PokéBeach’s November 25, 2025 report on MEGA Dream ex Secret Rares highlights Mega Gengar ex and Mega Dragonite ex, and also identifies Tera Pikachu ex among the cards discussed. How do the Japanese cards relate to Ascended Heroes?
PokéBeach reported that the MEGA Dream ex Secret Rares were expected in the English Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion. Its later set-list coverage explains that Ascended Heroes also incorporates cards from Japan’s Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, including cards adapted as English promos. That means the English set’s contents should not be mapped exclusively to MEGA Dream ex. See PokéBeach’s later analysis of the Ascended Heroes Secret Rares.
When comparing a Japanese card with an English one, verify the card’s identity and rarity against a complete checklist, and account for the different language and product format. The cited coverage does not establish a full one-to-one mapping between the Japanese and English sets, nor does it verify pull odds or market value.
