Digital Eclipse says the collection was built to preserve games that had been unavailable for years: “The Kollection was designed to celebrate the arcade era and the earliest games in the series, many of which have been unavailable for years.” The quote is attributed to the DE Team in the FAQ, last updated October 30, 2025.

What does the collection include besides the games?
The playable archive is paired with an interactive documentary containing original-developer interviews, archival material, timelines, and character histories. That makes the release a history-focused collection as well as a way to play the early games. Its stated scope stops at the arcade era and earliest series entries, rather than attempting to cover every later installment.
Which platforms can you play it on?
Digital Eclipse lists Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The developer said the platform versions share the 23-game library and documentary content. Its FAQ also says the game did not meet age-rating requirements to appear in the eShop in Asia, so availability there is an exception to the platform list.

What changed after launch?
At launch, Digital Eclipse acknowledged input latency, particularly on PlayStation, and said connecting a controller by wire could significantly reduce latency in that then-current release. That is dated developer guidance, not a current independent test or a guarantee that the same issue or workaround applies today.

Which version should you choose?
- Choose a digital copy if you want the game on a listed platform without needing a physical edition. Check the storefront for current price, regional availability, and platform compatibility.
- Choose a Standard/Day 1 or Deluxe physical edition if you prefer a boxed copy. The FAQ gives the historical shipping schedule, but not present availability.
- Consider the Kollector’s Edition if its documented physical extras matter to you. Its past sold-out status is not proof that it is currently unavailable—or available—so verify stock with a seller.
- Consider the documentary as part of the value if you are interested in the series’ development and history, not only the playable games.
