Yes, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has a Nintendo Switch 2 physical Standard Edition—but the claim that its card contains the full game data is inaccurate. Digital Eclipse says the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions require a download to access Mortal Kombat 4. The FAQ does not say that the card contains no game data; it specifies that Mortal Kombat 4 requires a download.
Does the Switch 2 physical edition have the full game on the card?
No: Mortal Kombat 4 is not included on the Nintendo Switch 2 card and requires a download. Digital Eclipse’s launch FAQ says both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions need a download to access that game. It does not establish that the card contains no game data, nor does it give the download’s size.

The collection has 23 playable games. Digital Eclipse says the same library, interactive documentary, kombatants history, and music player are included across platform versions. Nintendo Australia lists the Switch 2 digital version at 12.6GB; that figure is not the physical card’s shipped content or the size of the Mortal Kombat 4 download. Digital Eclipse’s FAQ and Nintendo Australia’s Switch 2 listing provide those details.

Are the physical editions available on every platform?
No. Atari’s Standard Edition page lists Switch 2, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. The FAQ separately says Xbox physical preorders ran through Limited Run Games and ended August 31, 2025, with no launch restock planned at the time. Those preorder details do not establish current stock, and the listed Standard platforms should not be taken as proof that every edition is offered on every system.
The FAQ also described four preorder slipcover designs for orders placed through Atari. Treat that as a promotion detail, not a guarantee that slipcovers remain available.

What about the Kollector’s Edition’s availability?
Digital Eclipse’s FAQ said the Kollector’s Edition was sold out after preorders ended August 31, 2025, and that the rest of the edition was due to ship in 2026. This is the status reported in the FAQ, updated October 30, 2025—not confirmation of stock or fulfillment status today. Check the seller for current availability before buying.

Atari’s product description also notes documentary material including interviews, concept art, vintage marketing materials, and archival video. The same core content is described across platform versions, although Nintendo versions have the Mortal Kombat 4 download requirement.

Online play is available for many arcade and console games, according to the FAQ; handheld games are excluded because the originals relied on physical link cables, whose behavior would add instability if replicated online. Nintendo’s Switch 2 listing identifies Digital Eclipse as publisher and describes online play and rollback netcode. The collection is listed for Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
