MW4 DMZ Orders are three-task pages displayed at the DMZ Orders station in the Forward Operating Base (FOB). Finish all three Orders, successfully exfiltrate, and the page bundle is deposited through the extraction summary and Stash. Community checklists consistently report 20,000 DMZ Cash per completed page, plus equipment, a Survival Kit or a recipe; an individual Order does not pay that bundle by itself. Start with the fixed onboarding page, then choose a chapter. This checklist explains the opening route, chapter trade-offs, every currently documented Order name, reward uncertainty, recipe dependencies and the fixes for progress that appears not to tick.
What are MW4 DMZ Orders and where do you track them?
Orders are DMZ’s persistent mission directives. Walk to the DMZ Orders station in the FOB to see the active page, its three Orders, counters and rewards. The same page number appears in the upper-left FOB HUD, and the currently active Order appears in the upper-right HUD while deployed. Use COLLAPSE and VIEW ORDERS below the FOB list to switch between the compact and expanded views.

Each Order contains one to three tasks, such as “Loot 30 Chemicals 0/30.” Counters tick while you perform the action. The page is the payment unit: all three Orders must be complete before the shared reward is issued. Activision describes Orders as training, progression and narrative objectives that remain available as you upgrade the FOB.
Where should a new DMZ player start?
DMZ is included with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 rather than being a separate free download. The Standard Digital and Vault editions support Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net, Steam and Nintendo Switch 2. A Vault Edition begins with three Active Duty Operator slots instead of two and includes a Deployment Kit, but it is not required to clear Orders.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Open the FOB and Page 1. The starting board is fixed and contains Gear Up, Crackshot and First Op. The in-game board shown by AllThingsHow reads 3D PRINTER RECIPES 6/104 and GUNSMITH WEAPON MANUALS 0/28.
- Complete Gear Up. At Stash/Loadout, equip a weapon, backpack, armor vest and Medkit.
- Complete Crackshot. Knock down three targets at the FOB firing range in the grove.
- Complete First Op. At Deploy, select Hajin and Dynamic Operations, then infiltrate on the ground (or the equivalent ground-infiltration option). Deploying satisfies the Order; extraction is not required.
- Accept the transmission. Returning from First Op shows “Story missions are unlocked” and “Printer Recipe Unlocked.” Accept the incoming transmission to open the CHOOSE A CHAPTER screen.
- Choose a first chapter. The screen states that you will complete all chapters over time. The selection changes sequence, not access.
- Read all three new Orders before deploying. Plan one route around a fixed location, a printing task and an extraction requirement where possible.
- Exfil after completion. A finished page becomes available for hand-in after a successful exfil; the next Caller briefing then appears at the FOB.
How does MW4 DMZ order tracking and page payment work?
Complete the three listed Orders, exfil successfully, and inspect the extraction summary and Stash. Community lists from COD Central, Game8, DMZMap, DMZ Guides, VGKami and others repeatedly report a shared 20,000 DMZ Cash page bundle, with gear, a Survival Kit or recipes depending on the page. Activision has not published a complete Orders table or an official page-cash figure, so treat 20,000 as a community-reported launch figure rather than an official guarantee.
After Page 1, the chapter pages use names rather than universal numbers. A player who selects Human Intel first may see Human Intel 1/2 where another player sees a different chapter block. Fixed pages keep their numbers. Finish a page and exfil; Game8 and DMZ Codex report that the next Caller then unlocks the next page at the FOB.

Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Check the Stash when a summary looks wrong. COD Central documented cases after Pages 10 and 11 in which the extraction screen showed the previous chapter’s Orders and rewards even though the correct reward had been delivered.
What does not count toward an Order?
- Choosing Dynamic Operations from the Deploy menu does not count as collecting a Dynamic Op Phone. Payment Due requires the physical phone in the world and 11,500 DMZ Cash earned from completing Dynamic Operations.
- Preparation requires printing a Medium Backpack and a 2-Plate Armor Vest. Merely looting those items does not satisfy it.
- Orders that say “print” require the 3D Printer action. The printer unlocks at DMZ Player Level 2.
- For Operation Rewards, the phone, completed Dynamic Op and crate must be in Cheongun Village for the three objectives to tick together.
How many DMZ Orders are there in MW4?
There is no official complete count. Launch-week community trackers listed about 66 discovered Orders on 27–28 October 2026; COD Central documented Pages 1–21 (63 slots if every page has three Orders), while DMZ Guides had a partial 16-page, 44-task list. DMZMap displayed 138 objective entries. These counts move as late pages are verified, so use the FOB as the authoritative state for your account.
Activision’s official description says only that Orders are arranged in Pages. The list below combines the names and rewards documented by launch-week guides and marks disagreements instead of presenting uncertain late-page data as final.

Which DMZ Orders chapter should you pick first?
You eventually complete every chapter. Pick based on the equipment and route type that best fits your first deployments.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute| Chapter | Early tasks | Ending Story Mission and location | Distinctive early rewards | Best reason to choose it first |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Human Intel | Hunt Lieutenant Tower terminal; clinic bandage and 30 Chemicals; clear a compound for Medical Extraction Intel | Operation Critical Extraction, Mirae General Hospital | Basic Triage Kit, Flash recipe, UAVs (community tables report three; one Game8 screen showed one) | Medical supplies and straightforward clinic, compound and Hunt-tower routing |
| Underground | SAM site and cargo-chopper crate; steal, refuel and repair a vehicle, then run over seven enemies; transmitters at two radio towers and La Grande Vie, Songdo Wharf | Operation Shopping Hacks, NuriGO Mall | DDOS, Decoy Grenade and Night Vision Goggles recipes; Basic Restock Kit | Night-vision and electronic equipment for darker or vehicle-focused runs |
| Counterfeit | Enter a police station, search three containers and eliminate five soldiers; open a safe and extract 5,000 value; use a Deadtown UAV Tower to mark and kill five soldiers, then loot Counterfeit Cash | Operation Silent Ledger, Heavenly Luck Casino in Cheongun Village | Recon Drone recipe and Explosives Equipment Kit | Recon and explosive tools for players who prefer marked targets and direct fights |
Each opening chapter is two pages and six Orders, ending in its Story Mission. Each chapter awards two 20,000-DMZ-Cash page bundles and an Operator Rescue Beacon on its second page, according to community reward tables. After Page 11, the next choice is The Grid or Hornet’s Nest. The Grid ends with Operation Grid Assault and a Heli infil; Hornet’s Nest ends with Operation Iron Citadel and an LTV infil. Operation Fallen Ember at Haneul Nuclear Reactor follows both and unlocks a Cargo Plane infil.
What is the complete MW4 DMZ Orders checklist?
Find your Order names rather than relying on the page number. “Fixed” pages are intended to be the same for everyone; chapter pages slide according to your choices. A status of C means several launch-week guides agreed. R means community-reported, incomplete or conflicting.
| Block | Orders | Reported page reward | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Page 1, fixed | Gear Up; Crackshot; First Op | 20,000 DMZ Cash, Medkit, 2-Plate Armor Vest | C |
| Human Intel 1/2 | Hunter; Triage Protocol; No One Left | Flash recipe; Basic Triage Kit | C; Flash is recipe or item in one tracker |
| Human Intel 2/2 | Blindness; Payment Due; Operation Critical Extraction | UAV (some tables say x3); Operator Rescue Beacon; Weapon Insurance Contract | R on UAV quantity |
| Page 4, fixed | Operation Rewards; Preparation; Work Quietly | Medium Backpack; Ammo Box Field Upgrade | C in several guides |

| Page 18, fixed | How Bulletproof?; Abandoned; Locksmith | Nitro Compounds x2; SERE Kit | C |
| Page 19, fixed | Avionics; Philanthropist; Multi-Talented | Binding Catalyst x2; Explosives Equipment Kit | R |
| Page 20, fixed | Ears Everywhere; The Vault; Massive Damage | 3-Plate Armor Vest; Bomb Glider | R |
| Page 21 | Hard Carry; Stalking the Stalker; Operation Fallen Ember | Triage Kit; Operator Rescue Beacon; Weapon Insurance Contract | R; one UI display briefly labelled it Page 3 |
| Page 22, DMZMap only | DRC; Unstoppable; Astronaut | 20,000 DMZ Cash; High-Tenacity Fibers x2; Explosives Equipment Kit | R; absent from COD Central’s 29 October walkthrough |
When a reward name conflicts, trust the reward panel at your station. The Flash reward, The Grid’s 3-Plate vest and Hornet’s Nest’s armor-kit name are all reported differently by launch-week trackers.
Which early objectives require a specific route or recipe?
Hunter
Climb a Hunt Lieutenant Tower and use its terminal to locate the nearest Lieutenant. The kill is not required. The Boss Board is officially listed by Activision as unlocking after your second DMZ Order, although some guides say the station lights up only after the second page; check your FOB if the timing differs.

Blindness
Print four Flash Grenades and kill eight flashed enemies. The Human Intel Flash recipe is the intended chain; do not sell or ignore it.
Eyes Everywhere
Print and deploy the Recon Drone from the Counterfeit 1/2 reward. COD Central lists a cost of 30 Metals and three Electronic Sensors.
Dead Battery and Death From Above
The Underground DDOS and Decoy Grenade recipes feed these later tasks.
Work Quietly
At Gunsmith, add a suppressor, print a Throwing Knife and kill eight enemies in a row without taking damage. Gunsmith unlocks at DMZ Player Level 10.
Robbery and Execute Intel
Robbery needs a safe and 5,000 total backpack-plus-loadout value at extraction. Execute Intel requires a Deadtown UAV Tower, five NK soldiers pinged by that tower and the Counterfeit Cash dropped by those marked soldiers. COD Central catalogued 21 safe locations, but its list is a player location dump rather than an official map layer.

How do recipes, Story Missions and FOB systems connect?
Recipes are progression keys, not disposable loot. A recipe extracted from the zone is consumed at exfil and pays 5,000 DMZ Cash. The 3D Printer unlocks at Level 2, the Vendor at Level 5, Gunsmith at Level 10 and Dog Tag Case at Level 20; DMZ Progression continues to Level 70. Survival Kits stack unopened at their station and can come from Orders, Missions, leveling and events.
Story Missions are a separate tab and a separate Deploy type from Dynamic Operations and Free Roam. Once unlocked, you can launch Critical Extraction, Silent Ledger or Shopping Hacks even when another chapter is shown on the active Orders page. If the matching Story Order is active, both objectives tick together. MW4 Map reports 25,000 DMZ Cash for each of the six known Story Missions, with some also awarding an item or infil unlock:
| Story Mission | Location | Additional reported reward or unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Operation Critical Extraction | Mirae General Hospital | Defibrillator; Mirae Electrical Room key |
| Operation Silent Ledger | Heavenly Luck Casino, Cheongun Village | Gold Bar; Counting Room Vault key; Polaris DAGOR A1 infil |
| Operation Shopping Hacks | NuriGO Mall | Night Vision Goggles; Coin Mining Den key |
| Operation Grid Assault | The Grid | Roze’s High-Rise Armory key; Heli infil |
| Operation Iron Citadel | Chang-san Air Base | Supreme Leader Access Card; LTV infil |
| Operation Fallen Ember | Haneul Nuclear Reactor | Reactor DRC Locker key; Cargo Plane infil |
The weekly Story Mission card shows WEEKLY COMPLETION 0/3. Philanthropist on Page 19 asks you to finish that weekly challenge. Activision’s FOB guide specifically recommends checking your squadmates’ active Orders because a Story Mission can complete a matching objective for everyone.

What happens when an exfil fails?
MW4 Map reports that failed exfils retain earned XP, but carried items are lost unless they are in a Secure Slot. A dead Operator becomes MIA until rescued with DMZ Cash, with the price scaling by Trait Points, or dismissed. Operator Rescue Beacons, which recur as page rewards, make a rescue free. This makes the page-completion exfil important even when one remaining objective seems easy to finish in the next run.
How should you use community order trackers?
DMZMap, DMZ Guides and MW4 Map provide browser checklists that save locally without sign-in. MW4 Map says progress stays in the browser on that phone or computer. These are personal overlays only: actual completion is stored on the Activision account and must be verified at the FOB. Because chapter pages slide and late rewards remain unsettled, record the exact Order name and read the in-game reward panel rather than copying a page number from another player.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is MW4 DMZ available without buying Modern Warfare 4?
No. The mode ships with the game; it is not a separate free download. Digital Standard and Vault editions include it on the listed console and PC platforms.
Can I change my first chapter after selecting it?
The chapter screen is a sequence choice, not a permanent lock. The prompt explicitly says every chapter will be completed over time, so the practical consequence is which recipes and Story Mission you encounter first.
Recommended Free Tools
Why did my page reward not appear in the extraction summary?
Launch-week guides recorded summaries that occasionally displayed a previous chapter after later pages. Check the Stash and the FOB Orders station before assuming the reward failed; the in-game panel is the authoritative reward display.
What is the Boss Board used for once it unlocks?
It sells DMZ Cash intel for a one-deployment Lieutenant lead, while Commander intel is free. Hunter’s tower terminal can also identify the nearest Lieutenant without requiring a kill for that Order.
Does the announced DMZ X01 Season 1 add more Orders?
Community hubs flag Season 1 for 6 November 2026, but no cited announcement establishes that it adds Orders. Treat any new page or objective as unconfirmed until it appears in the FOB.
