Activision documented and fixed two specific Modern Warfare III out-of-map exploits in its Season 1 update: one let players reach an unintended rooftop near Launch Site, and another let players get underneath the map near the Garage in Operation Spearhead’s War mode. Those historical fixes do not establish whether either location—or other MWIII locations—has an active exploit today.
Which MWIII locations did Activision name?
In its Season 1 Patch Notes, published December 14, 2023, Activision listed separate fixes for two out-of-map exploits:

- Launch Site: The notes say, “Eliminated an out of map exploit in which players were able to access an unintended rooftop near the Launch Site.”
- Operation Spearhead (War): The notes also say Activision eliminated an out-of-map exploit that let players get underneath the map near the Garage.
The notes list other fixes involving unintended locations, map boundaries and out-of-bounds areas, but they describe distinct issues—not one exploit affecting every map in the same way.
Are these exploits active now?
The Season 1 notes establish that Activision addressed those particular exploits in that update. They do not establish the current status of those locations or of every MWIII map. The sources cited here do not confirm that either exploit is active today. Check newer official patch notes or current issue updates before treating a reported location as a confirmed, present-day exploit.

How to report a player you suspect of cheating
Being outside the expected playable area is a reasonable reason to submit a report, but the observation alone does not prove that the player used cheating software or deliberately exploited a glitch.
- Open the in-game Options menu.
- Select Report Player.
- Choose the player and the report reason that best fits what you observed.
- Send the report, or choose to report and block the player.
Activision’s Modern Warfare III reporting instructions, updated July 10, 2025, say reports are reviewed and may lead to appropriate action. The support page gives warnings, suspensions and bans as examples, but it does not guarantee an outcome or disclose the action taken on a specific account.
