What the Stormender Priceless issue was
The reported problem was specific: players said progress toward the Stormender’s Priceless camo challenge did not count. A January 2024 Reddit post described the challenge as not tracking and asked whether it was still bugged. Three Stormender issues that should not be confused
Priceless challenge tracking
This is the issue players described: challenge progress failing to register. Activision’s November 21, 2023 launch notes mention a Priceless progression fix for the DM58 marksman rifle, not the Stormender. The notes state: “Addressed an issue that prevented the progression of the Priceless Camo challenge for the DM58 (Marksman Rifle).” That weapon-specific correction is not evidence of a Stormender tracking fix. Incorrect reward emblem artwork
Activision’s Season 1 notes say the Stormender’s Priceless and Interstellar reward emblems would display the correct emblem art. This was a display correction; the notes do not say that challenge progress was failing or that tracking had been fixed. Activision’s Season 1 patch notes.

Camo preview opening the Zombies menu
Activision’s Season 2 notes describe a different bug: previewing a camo while the Stormender was equipped could send the player to the Modern Warfare Zombies main menu. That menu-navigation behavior is not a Priceless challenge-tracking problem. Activision’s Season 2 patch notes.
Did Season 1 Reloaded fix challenge tracking?
A player posted in January 2024 that Season 1 Reloaded had fixed tracking and made the camo unlockable. It is useful evidence that at least one player reported a resolution, but it is not an official confirmation or proof that the fix applied to all cases. The official patch-note entries above address other Stormender-related symptoms, not the challenge tracker itself.

Is the Stormender Priceless camo bug still happening?
Current status is not established by the available records. The historical player report and Activision’s notes do not show whether the same tracking failure is happening now. Activision Support’s Modern Warfare III known-issues page is the official place to check tracked problems and submit a report if the issue is not listed. The page was shown as updated August 7, 2026; that date alone does not confirm whether this specific challenge issue appears there.

- Identify the symptom. Check whether the Priceless challenge counter is failing to advance, the reward emblem artwork looks wrong, or previewing a camo takes you to the Zombies menu. These are distinct reported problems.
- Check the current status. Review Activision’s MWIII known-issues page for a listing that matches your exact symptom.
- Report a reproducible tracking problem. If it is not listed, submit a report through Activision Support and include the exact challenge, game mode, platform, and update context. These details help distinguish a tracker failure from the separate emblem-display and preview-menu issues; they are reporting guidance, not a guaranteed workaround.
No confirmed workaround is established here. In particular, the available reports do not support promising that changing attachments, modes, or platforms will resolve the tracker.
