If the code never arrived, contact 2K support about the promotion; NBA’s redemption help covers codes you already have, and does not provide a delivery deadline for the NBA 2K23 offer. NBA 2K23’s online services ended on December 31, 2024, but that alone does not establish whether a specific League Pass code is still valid.
First, identify which code you mean
“NBA 2K23 code” can refer to several unrelated things. The steps depend on what the code is for:

|---|---|---|
| NBA League Pass promo code | NBA.com | Follow the subscription redemption steps below. For an invalid-code error, contact NBA support. |
| NBA 2K Locker Code | In the game’s MyTEAM Community Hub or MyCAREER Options/Quit menu | Use 2K’s Locker Code instructions. These are in-game rewards, not League Pass subscriptions. |
| Console game or DLC code | Your console’s store | Redeem it through the platform store and confirm the content downloads. See 2K’s game and DLC code guidance. |
| NBA 2K Mobile QR reward | The NBA 2K Mobile app | This is a separate promotion. The localized 2K FAQ describes a QR code in the physical Standard Edition box; for that reward, follow the instructions in the NBA 2K Mobile FAQ. |
If your League Pass code was rejected
NBA says League Pass promo codes can only be redeemed on NBA.com. The code also has to match the subscription type and term you are buying or already have.
Redeem a code with a new subscription
- Sign in to your NBA ID on NBA.com.
- Add the desired League Pass subscription to your cart.
- Enter the code in the Promo Code field and apply it.
Apply a code to an active subscription
- On NBA.com, open My Account, then Manage Plan.
- Select Have a promo code?, enter the code, and apply it.
NBA says an applicable code is applied to the next billing period. Its Help Center explains: “Promo codes can only be applied to active subscriptions if the promo code is applicable for the same subscription type and term.” See NBA’s Using Promo Codes page, accessed October 8, 2026.

Fix the common “Invalid code” causes
- Remove any spaces before or after the code.
- Check that the subscription type and term you selected match the promotion.
- Log out of your NBA ID, then log back in and try again.
If it still fails, contact NBA support and provide the code, where you received it, a screenshot of the error, and the subscription you are trying to redeem it for. Support can investigate the problem, but NBA’s help page does not promise that a promotion can be restored or honored.
If you never received the code
Start with 2K support rather than NBA’s invalid-code steps: those steps assume you already have a code, and the available NBA guidance does not document delivery for the NBA 2K23 promotion. Submit a request through 2K’s support request form and select NBA 2K23.

To help support identify the promotion, include the edition you bought, the seller, proof of purchase, the email address on the NBA 2K account used for the promotion, and the steps you completed to claim bonus content. These details are useful context, not a published NBA 2K23-specific required checklist.
Do not treat 2K’s general advice to wait 24 hours before reporting missing purchased VC or DLC as an official delivery deadline for a League Pass code. That guidance is about purchased game content, not this promotion; see 2K’s missing purchased content article.

What NBA 2K23’s retired online services mean
2K lists NBA 2K23 as released on September 8, 2022, and says its online features and services were retired on December 31, 2024. The status page lists offline modes including Play Now, MyNBA/MyLeague, 2KU/Learn 2K, MyWNBA, and The W. It does not say that retirement invalidated a League Pass code already issued, nor does it confirm that NBA still honors the promotion. See 2K’s NBA 2K23 Server Retirement FAQ.
A later, separate NBA 2K24 promotion tied code delivery to the NBA 2K Account email and completion of bonus-content steps. That does not establish NBA 2K23’s timing or terms; it only illustrates why checking the account email and claim steps may help support trace a missing offer. See Take-Two’s NBA 2K24 announcement.

Ask support about the specific legacy code
The available guidance does not settle whether NBA or 2K still honors a particular NBA 2K23 Championship Edition League Pass code, or establish its exact eligibility and redemption procedure. When contacting support, identify the edition and ask them to check that specific code rather than assuming either that the retirement invalidated it or that it remains redeemable.
