There is no single verified answer to what the most expensive Nerf gun is. Published lists name different winners and give sharply different prices for the same blaster: Wealthy Gorilla put the Max Force Manta at $425 in 2023, while MoneyInc’s article, updated in 2020, listed the Longstrike CS-6 at an average of $600. Wealthy Gorilla published its ranking on September 7, 2023, compiling figures from web sources including Luxatic, Fatherly, and MoneyInc. MoneyInc’s list was posted in 2018 and updated April 8, 2020; it labels its figures “average price.” The table keeps those lists distinct rather than blending them into a purported market ranking.

Why the lists disagree
The Longstrike makes the problem plain: Wealthy Gorilla gives it $110, whereas MoneyInc reports a $600 average in its 2020-updated article. The sources do not explain the gap with a common set of sale records, condition grades, or included accessories, so neither number can be treated as a definitive current value.
“Most expensive” therefore depends on the list, its date, the exact variant, and what kind of price it reports. The available articles do not establish a current winner using standardized, geographically specific sold-price data.

Notable models and what to check
Max Force Manta
Wealthy Gorilla ranked the Manta first at $425 in 2023 and describes its distinctive two-dart, multi-barrel design. That ranking is a published-list claim, not evidence that a Manta recently sold for that amount.
Longstrike CS-6
The Longstrike appears in both lists, with the starkest price difference. DBLDKR describes multiple color schemes, accessory rails, and a stock that stores two six-dart clips; it also claims a boxed Longstrike can reach $600. That boxed-item claim is not a standardized comparison with MoneyInc’s average-price estimate or Wealthy Gorilla’s figure. Check the exact color scheme, condition, packaging, and included clips or accessories when comparing listings.

Rayven CS-18
Do not assume every Rayven has the same collectible features. Wealthy Gorilla names the Light It Up Series at $200, while MoneyInc lists a general Rayven CS-18 at an average of $235. DBLDKR says an original glow-in-the-dark Rayven can sell for upwards of $430 and distinguishes it from a later Rayvenfire version that lacks that technology. These are separate source claims, not a like-for-like price comparison.
Vortex Pyragon
The Pyragon fires Vortex discs, not classic Nerf darts; DBLDKR says the ammunition systems are not interchangeable. It describes the blaster as having slam-fire and a 40-disc drum, and claims it originally sold for as low as $40 before reaching $200 at third parties. MoneyInc’s different figure is a $230 average-price estimate. If assessing one for use as well as collecting, verify that the discs and drum are present and that the ammunition is compatible.

Vulcan EBF-25
MoneyInc’s 2020-updated list gives the Vulcan a $520 average. DBLDKR describes a battery-powered, belt-fed model with a tripod and 25-dart belt, and claims variants range from $400 to $990. The articles do not provide a shared condition or variant breakdown; identify which Vulcan version is offered and whether its belt, tripod, and other parts are included.
TerraScout Recon and TerraDrone
These are different models, despite the similar names. Wealthy Gorilla lists the Combat Creatures TerraDrone at $150 and the N-Strike Elite TerraScout Recon at $150; MoneyInc gives the TerraScout Recon RC Drone a $315 average. Wealthy Gorilla describes the TerraScout as a remote-controlled blaster vehicle with a camera and drum. Do not apply the TerraScout price claim to the TerraDrone.

How to assess a listing against these old figures
Use the published prices as comparison points, not as a target offer or a promise of resale value. Before deciding what a specific blaster is worth to you, check the factors these lists do not standardize:
- Exact model and variant: Confirm the full product name, color scheme, and edition. A Light It Up Rayven is not automatically equivalent to a general Rayven CS-18 or Rayvenfire.
- Price basis and date: Separate an article’s list price or average-price estimate from a current asking price and from a verified completed sale. The cited lists do not provide a common transaction method.
- Condition and packaging: Record whether the blaster is sealed, boxed but opened, or loose, and inspect its condition. The articles discuss collectible value without supplying a standardized condition-adjusted dataset.
- Completeness: Check for model-specific parts such as the Longstrike’s clips, the Vulcan’s belt and tripod, or the Pyragon’s disc drum. The cited prices do not establish a consistent allowance for missing parts.
- Usability and ammunition: Identify the correct ammunition system before buying accessories; Vortex discs and classic darts are not interchangeable according to DBLDKR.
What is the most expensive Nerf gun?
Among the two central published rankings, Wealthy Gorilla’s 2023 list names the Max Force Manta at $425, while MoneyInc’s 2020-updated list gives the Longstrike CS-6 the highest figure in its lineup: a $600 average. DBLDKR also makes higher variant-specific claims, including $400–$990 for Vulcan variants and upwards of $430 for an original glow-in-the-dark Rayven.
