Net.Attack() – Code or Die! is a single-player PC roguelite where you build attack logic with visual programming nodes, then dodge and survive as those algorithms run in real time. Its coding is a combat mechanic—not a conventional programming course or a claim about real-world hacking.
How Net.Attack() combines coding and combat
Rather than repeatedly choosing a weapon or upgrade and leaving its behavior fixed, players assemble attack algorithms from drag-and-drop nodes. Steam says the game includes more than 190 nodes for connecting triggers, conditionals and loops. Once combat begins, the programmed attacks execute while you concentrate on movement, strategy and survival against waves of security-system enemies.
The game frames its runs as heists against hostile systems in a near-future cyberwar. That is the setting for its action, not an indication that players write general-purpose code or learn real-world hacking techniques. The different modes suggest options beyond a standard progression run: Sandbox Mode offers a space to experiment, while the timed hack and Daily Challenges set distinct formats. The store listing does not establish how those modes compare in length or difficulty.
Is controller play available?
Yes. In a June 2026 developer update, the team announced official controller support and said players could use the same input method in bullet-heaven combat and the node environment. Steam lists the following requirements for the game. The listing gives Windows 8 as the minimum game OS and Windows 10 as the recommended OS. Separately, Steam says its client has supported Windows 10 and later since January 1, 2024, so the game’s stated Windows 8 minimum does not mean the current Steam client supports Windows 8.

Release status and who may enjoy it
The Steam page lists June 19, 2025 as the Early Access release date. The developer’s full-release notes say the game left Early Access on March 12, 2026. The developer’s Steam Community news archive
Net.Attack() is most distinctive if the idea of designing attack behavior is as appealing as dodging through waves of enemies. Its central trade-off is clear: there is more to configure than in a roguelite focused mainly on selecting upgrades, but the store’s feature list alone cannot show how easy the programming interface is to learn. Players who want direct action with little setup may find the visual-logic layer less appealing; those who enjoy tinkering with systems have a specific mechanic to explore.
