New Super Mario games released in 2026
Nintendo’s May 2026 release schedule lists these recent Mario releases. It warns that dates may differ by region and that schedules are subject to change.

These dates and platform labels come from Nintendo’s official release schedule. The Wonder release is a Switch 2 edition of the original Switch game, not simply a new title with an interchangeable name. Nintendo says owners of the original game can purchase upgrade packs for certain Switch 2 editions; check the local product listing to confirm the purchase route and terms before paying.
Recent Mario releases from 2025
These titles are still part of the current release picture, but they are not new 2026 launches.

Nintendo’s release schedule gives the dates and platform labels. It also lists the Galaxy pair’s physical combined release. Nintendo’s anniversary presentation identifies the Galaxy games as anniversary titles (anniversary material).
Full game or upgrade pack: what to check
An upgrade pack is not a standalone full game. Before ordering a Switch 2 edition, look at the exact product listing and establish whether you need the original Switch game, whether the item is a full game or an upgrade, and whether the format is physical or digital.

- Buying the Jamboree Switch 2 release: distinguish the full edition from the upgrade-pack listing shown in Nintendo’s US store.

A reported Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update
Nintendo’s Spanish-language Mario portal reports a free Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update available from September 23, 2026. That regional notice does not establish the update’s contents, hardware requirements, or availability elsewhere. Consult the official Spanish Mario portal for the notice and your regional Nintendo channel for local details.

Official Mario merchandise
Nintendo also announced a My Mario collection of Tomy Toomies bath toys and water squirters, with select items available beginning February 19, 2026. This is merchandise, not a game release; current stock and licensed-retailer availability should be checked locally. Details are in Nintendo’s My Mario announcement. Nintendo’s US Mario store lists other Mario products, though its assortment and stock may change.
